JOHN GUIDETTI has re-stated that he would like to play for Celric again in what could be seen as a come and get me plea to new Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers.
The Swedish international striker netted 15 times in 35 appearances during his season-long loan from Manchester City in Ronny Deila’s first year in charge.
However, he knocked back the opportunity to make the move permanent and, instead, signed a five-year deal with La Liga outfit Celta Vigo.
Guidetti, 24, admitted: “I loved my time at Celtic – it was amazing. It was a chance to play for a fantastic club.
“And there were some moments at Celtic – like scoring against Inter Milan in the Europa League against Inter Milan in a 3-3 draw.
“You never know, maybe I’ll come back to Celtic one day. I was very happy in Glasgow.
“The supporters there were always amazing towards me. I saw a lot of them against the Republic of Ireland on Monday night.
“I know a lot of Celtic fans are Irish supporters and my girlfriend told me after the game that they were so friendly towards her.”
Whether a Guidetti signing would impress the supporters or interest Brendan Rodgers is of course open to debate.
