There’s only one John Guidetti

I’m beginning to believe some of the ‘Unseen..’ paranoia that goes around town myself.  Absolutely delighted, and a bit surprised, Fifa ratified John Guidetti’s transfer to Celtic.  He’s a player we have tried to buy for three consecutive summer transfer windows; this guy has been watched, courted and pursued by Celtic, Feyenoord, Ajax and no doubt a whole lot more.

Since his marquee season in Rotterdam he’s come through debilitating illness but is now healthy, if in need of some match sharpness.

He is ineligible for the Europa League group stage but will be available for the round of 32 through to the final in Warsaw.

There was a real meeting of minds between player and club on Monday; he liked the way we went about our business and people at the club were impress with his personality.  Apparently, he’s another “strong character” to add to the others who have arrived at the club over the last week.

If only we had a song for him….

    It is time for Yes.

  3. Fholks,

Trying to bring a bit of perspective. All the excitement with regards Guidetti, Scepovic, Tonev, etc signings.

I believe something similar happened when the likes of Pukki, Balde, Boerighter (sp), banguerra, etc. signed.

Can someone please expllain why we again should be so excited about players who are currently unproven at our club? ( esp if they are that good they could have got us through the CL qualifiers !!!! )

    Hail! Hail!

    I appreciate your kindly advice.

I have difficulty accepting racists & Fascists with the respect that I am sure they deserve.

    I genuinely thank you.

    Good Night.

  9. Neganon2, for me that scenario(looking for another job)is much more likely if we vote No, and then England takes us out of the EU, which is becoming more likely.

  10. Doc you are correct that is an equal threat. If we are pretending that either will not have an impact we are pretending.

  11. Just read that foul mouthed old Zionist bigot Joan Rivers met the reaper today.

  13. Neganon2, No pretending from me. We are at a time where we and the rest of the UK are diverging politically.

    RST Statement

Following a meeting of the Rangers Supporters Trust (RST) board we have the following statement to release.

As shareholders in Rangers International Football Club (RIFC) we have decided unanimously to partake in the upcoming open offer. This will be carried out using funds from our BuyRangers fan ownership scheme.

Whilst we still have deep concerns about the current situation at the club, as a board we believe that given fan ownership is the raison d’etre of the organisation it is in our members interest to participate in the open offer to maintain our current shareholding.

In order for the RST to continue its primary objective we urge as many fellow Rangers fans to join and contribute to our BuyRangers scheme from as little as £11.25 per month at http://www.therst.co.uk/buyrangers.

  15. big georges fan club – hail, hail, wee oscar,

I got a wee taste of what to expect from huns in work after the Legia/ Maribor results if any creation is challenging us again.

The venom and hatred some of thems has for us, has been amplified four fold due to the death of a team they once supported and the farce that is unfolding with their tribute posse.

Still, what a laugh the few tims in the work are having at their expense… The hun sitcom is histerical and soon to be historical. HH

Estirolbhoy because we have nothing else to get excited about and we are pretending that PL,and the board are fab…….

Worked for a large blue chip company for many years. Was speaking to a director one night and asked him what his biggest threat was from a business perspective. Quick as a flash he said ” blind faith” ( in him) .

  17. Big Georges Fan Club - Hail, Hail, Wee Oscar on

    Right troops.

Away to bed to dream about our new management and playing team.

    Really big changes afoot.

Might work out, might not, but me and Wee BGFC (and Miss BGFC when she can extract herself from Captain America, Thor and Tony Stark) are really excited to see how it all pans out.

Great to be a Tim !!!!

    Hail, Hail

  19. BT, the exact opposite of that is true, if independence is gained, Scotland will repeal the Act of Union, and therefore the Act of Settlement(an Act passed before Union), there will therefore be no legal barrier, in Scotland, to the Monarch, or any other office bearer to be be Catholic, or Muslim, or Jewish.

    Or God forbid, an atheist.

  20. Kojo

I can see arguments on both side and I’m not confirmed yet either way. I have very big dog in one of the camps but it hasn’t been decisive in my mind as I’m an idealist.

One thing I am sure of is that a vote for independence is exactly that. Political leanings and make up of a government will all follow in their own time. But Scotland will decide.

Is that worth risking my big dog with my ballot paper, there’s a question

  21. Blantyretim it doesn’t matter what the scottish I constitution says. Scotland is already institutionally sectarian. It will only get worse afterwards. This is the country that invented the OB act designed to criminalise aspects of Catholicism and to equalise for the Protestant majority. This is the country who’s police force is sectarian to its core. This is the country who’s media until 1989, after the fall of South African apartheid, said rangers not signing a catholic was cos there wasn’t one good enough. This is the country that forced my brother to leave the shipyards because he could get promoted because his name was too catholic.

Scotland is already far more institutionally anti catholic than England.

Some fine words won’t ever change that.
