I’m beginning to believe some of the ‘Unseen..’ paranoia that goes around town myself. Absolutely delighted, and a bit surprised, Fifa ratified John Guidetti’s transfer to Celtic. He’s a player we have tried to buy for three consecutive summer transfer windows; this guy has been watched, courted and pursued by Celtic, Feyenoord, Ajax and no doubt a whole lot more.
Since his marquee season in Rotterdam he’s come through debilitating illness but is now healthy, if in need of some match sharpness.
He is ineligible for the Europa League group stage but will be available for the round of 32 through to the final in Warsaw.
There was a real meeting of minds between player and club on Monday; he liked the way we went about our business and people at the club were impress with his personality. Apparently, he’s another “strong character” to add to the others who have arrived at the club over the last week.
If only we had a song for him….

Excitement in the Swedish Culinary World as John Guidetti signs for Celtic. As a tribute they make a special dish to celebrate his Italian heritage.

Well as I did say yesterday when someone asked me if I had heard anything? And I told them that he would be a Celtic player but not in the Europa cup, so my source was correct, I also listened to Keevens on Clyde last night and some one asked him that too, and of course mr know fek all, said ………don’t be silly if he is a Celtic player he would available for the EC ….hope the same gay calls tonight IF the oracle of European football is on, nut sac.
Scepovic, Guidetti, Forrest, Wakaso, Tonev.
Thats some pace out on the flanks with a target man/men on the end of crosses.
Ronny’s team is taking shape.
Cheers Paul

That’s a pity i would of thought under the circumstances he would be allowed. I take it we have tried our best to have him included? Are UEFA having none of it?

Legia have filed an appeal against this ruling…..
Really like the look of this guy but someone will need to have a word with him. Blessing yourself and taking your shirt off when you score will get you jailed and sent off.

Something else to accuse Pedro of…
Welcome to Celtic Big Bad John Guidetti!
Hooptastic, He is on last year of contract, will be available on a Bosman in January. Man City probably due compensation. However before we get too excited, this lad will have a lot of options come January, it would take a miracle to get him long term. But we deal in miracles, lets hope he falls in love with Celtic & stays long term.
Guidetti will be out of contract at the end of next season
Do we have any agreement in place to sign him up next summer …..
My concern is he rediscovers his Feyenoord form and attracts the interest from others who will a better financial package
what is the stars.
You’re Ronny out nonsense.
You’re not supporting the manager you’re not supporting the club. Sorry.
What did you think of pending Admin at Sevco? Brilliant huh?
Hooptastic
His contract is up next June – when the loan finishes he can go on a Bosman. We can technically ‘sign’ him on Jan 1st for next season if all parties agree…
HH
Does that mean Kevin Doyle is no coming then?
Tom McLaughlin.
Your ironic sack lawwell post is somewhat silly.
The fact remains we got put out of the CL not once but twice and didnt even try to strengthen ahead of either of those ties despite obvious deficiencies in our strikers. Even lawwell said we had failed to replace Hooper. This is a management failure. No excuses – thats what it is.
I am delighted we secured both strikers and of course I really hope they are successful. But if lady luck hadnt smiled on Peter we could easily have been without both. Spinning stories around players who really wanted to join celtic but left it to the last minute is fine. But trying to pretend we havent made a mess of this transfer window is simply sticking your head in the sand.

I don’t think there is an option to buy as his contract expires at the end of this season with Man City. It could work out very well for us if he decides to sign as a free agent next summer after spending this season with us.
