CELTIC’S 13-year-old sensation Karamoko Dembele has been called up to the Scotland Under-16 squad for the forthcoming Victory Shield tournament.
The tiny tot midfielder made headlines earlier this month when he played the last nine minutes of the Hoops’ Under-20s’ 3-1 win over Hearts at Cappielow.
Now Dembele is being fast-tracked by SFA chiefs in a bid to keep him away from the clutches of his parents’ homeland, the Ivory Coast, and England, the country of his birth.
The young Scots will play Northern Ireland on October 30, then Wales on November 1 before their final game against the Republic of Ireland on November 4.
