This is our trophy

Until recent times, the Newco penalty kick win over Celtic in the 2016 Scottish Cup semi-final was the greatest day in the club’s history.  They celebrated like it was a Petrofac Cup win all over again.  The teams have met twice in Scottish Cup business since, Celtic scored six over the two dates without reply, a merit scarcely recalled among our incredible achievements in recent seasons.

Our subsequent 21 games in the competition brought 21 wins, 20 within the 90 minutes.  Hearts and Partick Thistle scored a total of seven goals against us in that period, all the others put together managed to score just twice (Aberdeen and St Mirren getting one each).  In the history of spherical objects, Celtic’s domination of the Scottish Cup has never been matched.  This is our trophy.

BBC’s first rule of thumb when doing a report on the Six Counties, “Blame the Catholics at all times”.

Given that the same club tickets are now what, £52?

Will Celtic’s ‘switched on’ supporter base still buy these tickets if the manipulative Ibrox club board push

for, or pull a trick, with FULL compliance from Celtic PLC to increase these toxic tickets to £55 ????

Let’s be clear, it wouldn’t be first time that Celtic PLC had folded to the Ibrox clubs demands!

The whole purpose of any blog is to allow the individual to post their views and other individuals to either agree, disagree, or, ignore.

You seem to be looking for “handers” – ganging-up is lowest common denominator stuff.

  6. The game had ended 2-2 aet and we headed intae a penalty shoot out all taken at the Celtic end of the national stadium.

After the buzz bomb missed the first one and sandra jardine scored theirs it looked a bit ominous for us. Then Fat Pat, Stevie Murray and big Tid scored for us with Denis Connaghan saving from parlane and mclean up stepped the wee mhan and running from almost the hauf way line he blasted the ball past the ugly face of football kennedy tae sent the Tims intae raptures.

Walking up the slopes of hunden on that sunny August day after winning our only Dryborough Cup singing away like linties I overheard this Tim saying tae his friend “awe FFS its only the Dryborough Cup” to which the response was “I don’t give a fck if it was for a chocolate watch as long as we beat them”.

That’s the way I feel and as Liam Neeson as Michael Collins said “I hate them for making me hate”.

  7. Agree JHB

Also Jamesgang, that’s my thoughts too. And how many times have you heard the “we pinned the comments* to the dressing room wall”?

*I’d imagine them to be John Kennedy’s comments rather than P67’s. Unless Tavernier is on here snooping…

  9. Does anyone think the Huns were hoping to get Slavia kicked out of Europe over the racism accusations and didn’t get the result they were looking for.

Slavia had two players assaulted during and after the game, If I was them I would be getting their lawyer onto Police Scotland about those two assaults.

Brendan Rodgers I think, has the highest stock/standing amongst those who’ve offered an opinion about John Kennedy as manager/caretaker.

I saw BR being interviewed on TV, I heard him saying….

“JK is a safe pair of hands to go in there.”

I put my hands up as I was being spoken to at the same time BR was speaking, and I was later told by someone that, BR had said….

“JK is a safe pair of hands to go in there… just now.”

I admit to being interrupted as BR was speaking, it would be clearer if someone else heard him thanks.

I know a lot of supporter’s felt betrayed by BR, that’s understandable.

But if BR ‘betrayal’ is properly measured against other betrayals that have been sanctioned from within the club, then if you have a mind that can’t be easily corrupted, then I’m sure you’d place BR ‘betrayal’ in the nothing doing here category.

As for JK, I think he’ll do at Celtic what Steve Clark has done after his ‘long’ run of assistant manager gigs.

I’m voting for Kennedy. However, the assimilated tims will abscond from the top and bottom tiers…….

unless JK wipes the smile from their Sevco arses on Sunday.
