It has been two weeks since Celtic Park’s last outing as a football venue. From this week, it becomes a socially=distanced dinning location for around 250 people, including frontline NHS staff. The Celtic FC Foundation’s initial response is to provide £150k to stock local foodbanks and support charity partners in their efforts to cater for out most needy in this time.
For the time being, Celtic is no longer a football club; it is a source for good to a community that needs it, just as it was in 1888, when the first ball was kicked. No other club is Britain has responded with the same resources or vision, but no other club has our heritage.
Today, most of us are concerned about our immediate families and there is nothing wrong with this. But some people are ‘out there’ in our name. There may be little you can do for this effort today, but we will have the opportunity soon enough. Be proud of your club and know that, as Celtic fans, we have a social responsibility, otherwise, what’s the point?

I think they have both handled the impossible situation quite well. ( Nicola with more clarity and better explanation )
Hopefully the end game to save lives will be achieved, and that’s where all of us have a part to play.

imo too many Brits are thick and wont respect this ‘advice’. Tougher measures will the brought in soon and this will suit Johnson as he’s a populist who will loathe to do that but can blame the roasters who don’t comply.
They have always been aiming for a peak in May-July so probably looking at 3-6 months of these measures.
imo he should have said 3 weeks of this but if you don’t comply it will be a complete lockdown. He’s left it open by being indecisive (probably deliberately with an eye on his next move) and with ambiguity such as the exercise rules which he knows will be abused.

Very quiet looking now everywhere, but most back gardens have changed

Bit of panic buying on the news last night, no, not toilet rolls, but booze,
with huge queues outside the bottle shops, also gym equipment, and board
games, seems we’re getting prepared for the long haul here.
Our head coach has sent out a wee vid to our soccer kids with a challenge to
keepy up a toilet roll, he managed seven, so now everybody frantically trying
to beat it, tried it myself but complete shoit.

I just heard that the wife of a pal of mine who is a doctor is seriously ill with the virus after having to treat patients without the correct PPE. That’s a direct result of Johnson and his cronies.
