THOUGHTS WITH THE McSTAYS AT THIS SAD TIME

0

JOHN McStay, the father of Celts, Paul, Willie and Raymond McStay has sadly passed away.
The McStays have been part of the very fabric of Celtic Football Club for over 100 years now since Jimmy McStay first joined in 1912, followed by his brother Willie – the great-uncles of the 1980s’ brothers.

John was a scout at Celtic for many years and paved the way for several players to join the club.

Celtic Chief Executive, Peter Lawwell said: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the McStay family at this sad time.

“Paul and Willie McStay gave many years of faithful service as players to Celtic Football Club and John McStay was instrumental in their love of the team.”

The thoughts and prayers of everyone at Celtic Park and the entire Celtic Family are with the McStay family.
