Ticketus secure their £40m of tickets

1467

None of you will be surprised at today’s opinion from the Court of Session in Edinburgh that Rangers’ deal with Ticketus cannot be set aside, despite some absolutely pitiful reporting to the contrary.  It’s fine to get things wrong every now and then, we all get Duff information on occasion, but please….

It’s worth recording, Ticketus may only have paid £20m + vat but the tickets they own are worth in the region of £40m. High risk investments require a high return.

Rangers’ administrators argued that the deal inhibited their ability to rescue the company but the heroic Blue Knights submitted a bid accommodating Ticketus, undermining the administrators’ argument. If only the Blue Knights were in a position to strike a deal with Craig Whyte they could be regarded as helping the situation instead of being hapless fools.

Next up is HMRC, who have not capitulated and agreed to accept a few pennies in the pound.  They have not agreed to accept anything less than all monies owed.  Soon after that we will hear that no court has been able to set aside Craig Whyte’s security over Ibrox.  The most underappreciated man no longer in Scotland remains the only person with a reasonable chance of phoenix-ing Rangers.

The first 26,000 (approx.) tickets sold to each Rangers game for the next three years are owned by Ticketus.  In the event a phoenix occurs, Rangers will have to revert back to budgets from their glory days of the 1950s – we will soon be told this is a great omen.

If you are going to Ibrox on Sunday, take care and enjoy your visit.  Take photographs of the occasion and send them in, we’ll perhaps use them on a future edition of CQN Magazine.  It may prove to be the end of an era.

If you’ve not read the article below, about one of Jinky’s great performances, do so now.

Issue 7 of CQN Magazine is out now! Go to the dedicated magazine site here to read it properly (which you’ll not be able to do below).

Thanks to everyone who has bought a hard copies of the magazine, it looks like the sold out sign will go up again.  Order your copy for delivery by clicking on the link below for news and views from Celtic supporters.

I never commented on your thoughts but was conscious of the fact that you retained that view over a lenghty period.

For me now I reckon the footballing part of the hun business is dead and buried and it remains to be seen what the courts see as how they should be permitted to function in a non criminal manner.

Neil will be playing the long game, especially now when he does not need to battle short termism.

Relax, theres a lot of Good times ahead for Celtic

  3. TET – Salut amigo, i’ll try that also. Like most golfers i don’t practice enough but hope to rectify that this year. Quietly confident about Sunday as long as we battle it out in the midfield and man up in the other areas too. 2-0 would suffice for me and a safe journey to all attending.

  4. Am I the only one who’d prefer to win the title at CP?

Do the younger ones realise none of our 9-in-a-row was won at CP?

I want to be there when it happens!

    I’m neveralone but I AM SELFISH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Listen out there peeps for all who intend going to ibroke on Sunday.

Looking out for one another is priority number One, no question. These morons are hurting badly and us, as the sworn enemy, must be a target for their sick sad fans. So be very careful. On top of that, don’t forget the meeja will be dying to report any , and I mean any,so called wrongdoing by us. Easy, then, be careful and rise above the gutter and cess-pit inhabited by hunman.

We are CELTIC, the very best there is, so prove it and have a brilliant day out.

Only wish I was there to take it all in, but I’ve seen it before and it is pure, magic!

I’m quite enjoying Hugh being the anchor on tonights SSB, mainly because it gives him less opportunity spout the rubbish he is usually afforded. However there’s just something wrong when he says the words ‘Facebook and Twitter scene’

  7. Lads you listening to this pie on SSB, rangers will hammer us lol lol lol lol, what is this guy smoking.

  8. the long wait is over on

Sunday is going to be a monumental day – even if we lose, which I don’t believe we will.

Leaving everything else aside I think the players will feel they owe Neil for last week.

Where better to make it up?

  9. neveralone 19:38,

I won’t be going to Ibrokes but have tickets for me and my Son to the St Johnstone game.

Ideally, if we could map things perfectly then it would be better to ‘clinch’ it in front of 60000 Celts.

I just don’t think that will happen, and I feel it would be much better to win it there at the home of the Cheaters, and to win it well because it is unlikely to be won on the actual Sunday.

I feel confident about sunday, as confident as i have ever felt, I for some unusual reason have confidence that C.Murry will ref the game as best he can, he will make the ususl honest mistakes, and they will be for them obviously, but we will prevail if we play as half as well we can.

I am glad I will not in the vicinity of Glasgow this weekend, especially if we win, I really feel for the wifes of the hun who will end up in the hospital and I feel for the families of the kids who will be on the receiving end of beatings, just cos they are Tims.

Win the midfield, win the game, simple stuff really :>)

I understand that. On no account do I want anything other than a win (the bigger the better) on Sunday!

  13. fergus slayed the blues

They can’t give us the trophy that day as the CelticTaxCase blog might throw something up that hands the title to the 2nd place team.

Let’s not dismiss the square sausage plan out of hand.

It appeared to based on sound economic sense.

    Keep the Mad Hoose open.

Are you in the Vogue ? I am in what was called the New Orleans and thought Id pop over and introduce myself.

  21. saw the DR in the chinese on the way home – it was a great laugh a la ctc. Is there any way the bhoys could sing wee wullie’s hit on hunday ?

  22. There seems to be some differing views as to who won today in court.

The answer is easy. The lawyers won.

The answer to who won with regard to the Ticketus contract status may be known in a year or four’s time.

Litigation is where you go in as a pig and come out as a sausage.

  23. Scottish Football (A) has held back Celtic for years, now Celtic will be able to grow properly into the force they always would have been.

This has been a monumental few seasons despite the apparent lack of trophies (reinstated trophies?).

This cancer must be cut out totally or it will just grow again.

  24. Oh your empire it is finished

    No Money’s left to seize

Cos the greedy hand of Murray

    Chorus:

Feckall, Feckall you’ve lost it all

    For Murray’s greedy hands

have sold you for a pittance

and youse never took a stand

There was Media lies and googly eyes

    and Smith refused to sell

instead he blew your cash while you sung the sash

now your all going to hell

Your club is built on hatred

Your fans are all to blame

    You hate the Irish Catholics

and your known as Scotlands Shame

You tossed some dosh at referees

    and when your players fall

    you sods proclaim a penalty

    claiming man before the ball

    Chorus…

Oh the Tim’s will not be silent

    Chorus

  25. Used to listen to Jinky sing when I was a boy. We would be standing outside the Noggin pub in Uddingston and we could hear Jinky sing, well someone came out and told us he was singing upstairs but I swear after all these years I can still hear him

  28. timbhoy2 20:00,

It was probably more to do with Souness/Murray asking him to generate interest.

He was never going anywhere with it really unless it was going for a pittance, IMO.
