TIERNEY COULD SAVE CELTIC A FORTUNE

RONNY DEILA praised 18-year-old Kieran Tierney after the left-back made only his third appearance for Celtic in the 2-0 win over Ross County.
The Hoops boss said: “Kieran has a great attitude. He needs to work on his stamina, but he is a determined player and he is also a player who is very aware of what is going on all around him at times which is very important.
“His touch and his technique will improve as he plays more games, but he is a very good young player and it was good for him to play.”Tierney made his debut when he came on as a late substitute for Emilio Izaguirre in the  2-1 win over Dundee at Dens Park in April. He also started the second last SPFL game of the term in the goalless draw against St Johnstone in Perth.

The talented teenager could save Celtic a fortune in the transfer market if he continues to progress at such a rapid rate.
Deila has been scouring Europe in recent months looking for back-up for Izaguirre and played the versatile Charlie Mulgrew in the No.3 position in the win over Stjarnan in Iceland last month.
But the answer to the problem could be answered by Tierney, who started training at the club when he was only seven years old!
