GREG TAYLOR has been named in Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad while former Celtic fans’ favourite Kieran Tierney drops out through injury.
The champions’ left-back gets the nod for the crucial Euro 24 qualifier against Spain in Seville a week tomorrow and the glamour friendly against France in Lille the following Tuesday.
Taylor has been in fine form in recent weeks and is in the pool of players for the encounter against the Spanish where a win for the Scots will guarantee a place in the Germany Finals next summer.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS…Callum McGregor puts pressure on England keeper Aaron Ramsdale in last month’s friendly at Hampden.
Hoops skipper Callum McGregor is also in the travelling party, but his ex-colleague Tierney misses out after suffering a hamstring injury while on loan at Real Sociedad. The Arsenal defender is likely to be sidelined for a few months.
