TIERNEY’S BUMPER 5-YEAR DEAL

KIERAN TIERNEY will be rewarded for his sensational displays in his debut season with a bumper deal that will keep him at Celtic until 2021.
The 18-year-old left-back, who has taken over from Honduran international Emilio Izaguirre during another successful title campaign, still has three years of his existing deal to run.
However, Hoops chief executive Peter Lawwell is already planning a further two-year extension to keep the talented youngster at the champions for, at least, another five years.
Tierney, who won the Scotland PFA Young Player of the Year award, has already expressed his desire to remain at his boyhood idols.
Gordon Strachan awarded him his first full Scotland international cap when he played in the first-half of the 1-0 win over Denmark in the friendly at Hampden in March.
The player, born in Douglas on the Isle of Man and brought up in Wishaw, is likely to be involved again in the forthcoming challenge games against  Italy and France.
