Time for expensive signings, the 1254125 10k

1606

Motherwell travel to Celtic Park tomorrow on a mission.  A win would see them draw level with Celtic, and after a physically and mentally draining Champions League midweek game, they will fancy their chances.  Inverness remain top of the league on goal difference, but this is the third consecutive season Motherwell have tucked in below Celtic.  They will not finish above Celtic, of course, but this is likely to be our toughest test of the season.

As well as the result, there should be other objectives from tomorrow’s game.  We are eight games into our European campaign but our two most expensive summer signings, Teemu Pukki and Derk Boerrigter, and still to settle into the team.  Both should start against Motherwell.

For reasons you know too well, I thought it would be a good idea to do the Great Scottish Run on Sunday in aid of 1254125.  I have (just) setup a Mydonate page, if you have been unable to participate in any event so far, you can do so online now.

Many thanks for your support.

Answer to my question above Hmmmmmmmmm

The club made an announcement to the London Stock Exchange saying that former chairman Malcolm Murray and former oldco Rangers director Paul Murray had filed a notice with the Scottish Courts to order notice of the proposed vote to be distributed to shareholders.

The case could be heard in the Court of Session in Edinburgh on Friday.

Not the ideal venue I’m afraid.

My main targets have been the Law academics in Scotland and Northern Ireland and I have reached them all and got a fair bit of backing. Students are proving more difficult but three student unions are supporting my efforts.

I did mail all 471 members of the Faculty of Advocates but some didn’t get my e-mails to them so I went public with the letter and the intended recipients here:

  14. Tom Gallagher Tom Gallagherpenned this for the Rangers Standard this morning. Like a lot of stuff that appears on that site, and on the more rabid Rangers sites, it’s confused and weakened by both explicit and sly, half-hidden ad hominem remarks and smears, and it has its share of untruths too.

He makes much of the atheism of a couple of people who have commented critically on recent and not-so-recent events at Ibrox, and who’ve written harsh words about the mainstream media. He implies that good Christians, such as the founders of our club, would take a more charitable line with the Rangers in their current predicament.

I am, like the people he criticises, an atheist (though, unlike them, I haven’t compounded my error by living in Donegal), and I’d be interested to know if any believers find themselves persuaded by his argument.

I would be ruthless if I were the manager and let – poster boy Joe Ledley(Invisible Man) and Stokes run doon their contracts and get rid of – Beram as well. Although, I think that Beram has been somewhat confused by his managers lack of backing after the assault by ‘elbows’ which has, imo, ruined Kayal as a ball-winner.

A lack of backing from the manager after a brutal assualt from hun/rat ‘elbows’ and yet, the manager can see fit to attempt to back hun/ lookalike Broony after

    ……………………..

Reading the papers one sees disproportionate penalties imposed by the same judges in the same courts for similar offences. Truly inexplicable from the evidence that we know of.

None more so than the jury verdict in the Neil Lennon assault case.

There seemed to be factors at play that we did not know about there.

Masonic bias where a jury favour their brethren to the exclusion of others is nothing new.

And in Scotland where masonry comes in an orange flavour this might explain some anomalies.

It might explain the disproportionately high number of RCs in prison in Scotland too. But then it would need to be examined thoroughly and that ain’t about to happen any time soon.

I can’t remember whether the link to this article came from CQN but there is a superb comment-from a US politician!-about the likely perils faced by a fella going to jail for the first time.

While the courts have not yet pronounced upon his guilt or innocence, most everyone agrees that if Dutschke does any time, they will not be easy years. “I believe he’s gonna go in a tight end and come out a wide receiver,” mused Rep. Steve Holland, Dutschke’s former political rival. “But that’s pure conjecture. I couldn’t say for sure.”

  22. Sorry for not responding sooner. Grandparenting duties. I thought he said 150k but maybe I heard wrong and it was in fact 50k, all the same it’s still a lot of money for a man who had become a very wealthy man managing them and cough, cough alleged EBT payments.I also listened to Gary Ralston trying to put down that guy who was clearly on a different planet when it comes to finance as opposed Ralston. You’d never guess he worked at the Rangers News at one point. Incidentally, does Jabba work for the Easdale Sevco or the Paul Murray Sevco ?
