Time for Lustig to concentrate on the day job

172

You know things are bad when so many players are pulling out of the forthcoming Scotland fixture, despite it being one of the last chances they might get to leave the country for the lack of visa application, access to ports and airports, or fuel to get them there.

Jack Hendry would benefit from game time, but Kieran Tierney James Forrest and Callum McGregor would each be better resting up this week than travelling across the Continent.

The player I’m most concerned about is Mikael Lustig, who travels to Turkey with Sweden.  Mikael will be 32 next month, played at the World Cup and needs to manage his limbs more than most.  I’m sure he loved representing his country, but it might be time to concentrate on the day job.

    What’s the Story.

I see a 32 county Ireland united in my lifetime.

Have prayed for it since childhood. When it happens, I will emigrate to Ireland.

  2. What is the Stars on

    Delaneys

    Not sure myself.

Any common sense analysis would have the “lost tribe ” realising that the “mainland” has finally abandoned them and they should make peace with the natives.

They would be welcomed with open arms, but …..

  3. Sorry.

Tried to post one of my favourite ever songs.

Reynard the Fox by Julian Cope and The Teardrops Explode. Magical tune.

  4. Good evening all

I know I have been missing for yonks now, but I’ve noticed the decline in the amount of posters on the blog. I hope it is through choice and not for any other, more serious reason. HH

  6. Hi guys

I get so frustrated by certain posters who think bullying other posters is the way to go. People like DD who know me, and have known me for a number of years, know that is not the type of person I am. I love Celtic Supporter’s company as I have shown for the past 12 years at the “coarner”.

I’ve kept in touch with lots of you by txt, i just wish we could go back to the way it used to be without the keyboard hardmen. Luv you all. HH

  7. Anyhoo, I sincerely hope you are all well. I’ve managed to attend 3 games this season. 3 more than last season. These health issues are a right pain in the butt. Talk about a waste of a ST, I’m just a wee bit more mobile now, not holding my breath, and ferming to do tommorow. So I will bid you all a very good night. HH

  8. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

A happy birthday to fine man that he is, Jimmynotpaul. I hope you are going for it .

Weefra , very nice to see you posting.

  9. Good morning CQN from a dry and unusually mild for time of year Garngad

BSR from last night ” Paul Gascoine has arrived at 10 Downing Street”. Brilliant

Weefrathetim, good to see you posting, when I was a lurker, I loved your tales of the ole homestead. Keep well and Hail Hail.

  10. Good morning, friends and a Big Happy (big game eve) Friday to you all from a dark but apparently dry East Kilbride.

  11. Remember the ad that said : ` I saw this and I thought of you.

Well,in an article on `brainwashing`, I saw this and I thought of CQN:

`Don’t believe all that you read

    Don’t believe the hype

Don’t buy into fear or scare tactics

    Watch for someone’s agenda

    Look out for subliminal messages

    Follow your own path

    Do your own research

    Listen to your own intuition

    Don’t follow the crowd

Don’t be afraid to be different.`

Jobo`s description also fits Arbroath .

    Cheerio for now.

The Celtic AGM is next Wednesday and those signatories to Resolution 12 or the Mandate we had to seek for SFA to respond to lawyer’s letters and whose e mail addresses that are held have been sent an update.

Any signatories who do not receive it because we do not have their e mail addy should contact auldheid046@gmail.com with their CQN name in the request. for the update.

Other CQNers can do so if interested enough in trying to achieve an outcome.

Please make distinction clear in the request.

  17. RANGERS have made a formal complaint against Willie Collum — and claimed he DIDN’T see Daniel Candeias blowing kisses at Anton Ferdinand.

SunSport can reveal the Ibrox hierarchy have sent two letters to the SFA after losing the appeal against the winger’s red card at St Mirrentwo weeks ago.

Have the refs called a strike yet?

  18. The hand of God on

It’s funny the old Co. Rangers didn’t have a problem with Mr.Collum not seeing penalties awarded to them.

  20. I see nobody commented on last night’s friendly between the Republic and Norn Iron.

Hardly surprising, it was a boring 0-0 draw and the Republic were sh!t€.

  22. ALMORE @10.05 .

Guy doing last night’s football highlights on Italian tele said this –

” My highlight of that one was the final whistle ”

I watched Coatia 3 -Spain 2 ( live on Italian council tele ) . Great game . A thrilling watch . Pace , technique and intelligence . No grunt and grind.

  23. Sir Kenny said: “Obviously it was for others with more education and knowledge than myself to decide whether or not I deserved a knighthood and it goes without saying that I am hugely grateful to them for the decision that they have made.

“All I can say is that from my own point of view I am definitely no more deserving of an accolade like this than Jock Stein, Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley were.
