We all needed to get Tuesday night out of our system, but we must also put the result behind us and not allow it to bleed into the rest of the campaign. Every game is important in the coming weeks, even the home cup-tie against Dunfermline, which in different circumstances would be viewed as an opportunity to exercise the squad.
Dunfermline, presumably AIK Stockholm, Hearts, AIK and Newco await. We cannot afford to wallow in permanent introspective. We need to get our act together and get on with it.
Five days ago, I was feeling good about the start to the season. We had scored 12 goals in two league games, last season we scored seven in seven. For all Neil made mistakes on Tuesday, he is not plotting behind our backs. The manager, players and board will feel this as much as we do. If things go against us in the coming weeks, you will know how alone we are.
Time to circle the wagons.

What a shower of hypocrites they are, I really cant stomach them, they pretend to support Celtic but when the going gets tough and the team really needs our support its sack this one fire this one never play this one again in short line the scapegoats up against a wall and shoot the lot of them.
Glory Hunters and Sevco Supporters, this place is infested with them, a result such as Wednesday shows there is more of them on here than genuine Celtic Supporters, at a rough guess I would say this blog is made up of 40% Gory Hunters, 30% Sevconians and the rest genuine Celtic Supporters.

You are absolutely correct. I myself have been a glory hunter since I attended my first 3 Celtic games in 1959 aged 7. It was a full 6 years later when we won our first trophy under Big Jock. I continued my glory hunting through Rangers 9 in a row years. Yes, even through Brady, Macari, Cambuslang etc., my pals and I turned up for every game.
If you get to call fans like me glory hunters, is it alright for us to call you a GulliTim?

When BR was appointed it was a statement of intent by the club. I believe the discontent without the need of name calling is simply the lack of ambition being shown by the club.
As usual things will simmer down and Champions leaguefootball will become a bad and distant memory. However for sure the board must not continue to dismiss the opinion of the support. If they continue with this stance the discontent will remain and that is where the danger lurks.
I mean even Jobo is boycotting tickets!!

The Celtic Family – what Family – when one of their members has a truly awful experience such as we had on Tue night – would then all line up to give them a right good kicking one at a time? If you cant see it you’re blind. Either that or you are only pretending to be a member of that family.
One statement, from board level, could end all this discontent after the next epic failure like the one we have just had. It goes along the lines of: you thought we were a Champions League Club, we are not. We are a successful business that have plans & aspirations in this respect. Infact we are an extremely successful business which is shown in the shareholders dividends at the end of each business year.

I’ve said for years Lawwell’s past his sell by date. Yet he remains because he and Desmond have a stranglehold on the club and they run it to their own ends – business, not football. Their only interest in the fans is as a cash cow.
I would say that Rodgers was plotting for himself rather than against Celtic . The fact that his plotting would potentially harm Celtic was hidden in a fog of self interest. Anyway BR is yesterday’s news , but our response to his jumping ship is what needs to be looked at now . Did we take care to replace not only BR but his management team responsibly? Did we address the problem of squad deficit in quantity and quality since his leaving? There are many ways to plot , to undermine , to weaken . It can be done unwittingly like it was on Tuesday night.
Anyway , my wagon’s in for MOT so I’ll not be circling it.

We are all Celtic supporters, but there is a difference between supporting Celtic and supporting the way Celtic is run.

If this is meant to be used as an insult, than I think a better shot is needed.
I would wager most of the regular names on this blog have supported Celtic from pre school. Many of us were born into Celtic and others actually chose Celtic at a very early age.
Collectively we are very angry, and rightly so. We know we are under achieving and there is justifiable doubt that our management team and board match the commitment of the supporters.

Our Board are happy to promote the Celtic brand and our European pedigree and history when it comes to selling tickets and merchandise to the masses. They sow the seeds of expectation amongst our fans which is why we are furious that we can’t even beat the likes of Cluj and the list of other mediocre teams.
Something needs to change.

60000 of us had an awful night the other night. One man caused it. I pay money to support Celtic and I expect us to win games when we are favourites to do so especially when we have much better resources than the opposition. The manager performed abysmally. He failed each and every one of us. He must face the consequences for that failure given the number of mistakes he made in that game. The players came back twice to put us in a winning position. The manager let them down by failing to make appropriate changes to see the game out.
Oh and earlier, you didn’t mention my name but you categorised lots of supporters as being glory hunters. The cap doesn’t fit. You see yourself as some sort of Uber supporter who doesn’t make waves. My type make you sick to your stomach with our criticism. Enough said. If we were like you, Celtic would have gone out of business in 1994.
