Hibernian lost 3-0 on their last league visit to Celtic Park. That game came a week after their season pivoted, as they rescued a point against Aberdeen. Their only defeat in 19 league games since was a 1-0 reversal at Pittodrie two weeks ago.
19 games is exactly half a season and that is title winning form. Hibs are third in the table, 12 points off a Champions League qualification spot, they can ponder what could have been, had David Gray’s side got their act together from the start of the campaign.
That 3-0 Celtic Park defeat flattered the home side. The result wasn’t there for Hibs, but we could see the potential they had. When they returned to the same venue on Scottish Cup duty in March, the champions were alert to the threat and deservedly progressed to the semifinals.
Tomorrow is not about the result for Celtic. Brendan Rodgers has a treble to win and will rightly rest those who need rested. We have to hope he will use the occasion to develop some of the talent withering on the Celtic bench.
By contrast, even a point tomorrow would be celebrated by Hibs. With three games to go, anything from Celtic tomorrow is likely to see them compete in European group stage football next season. That would bring money, resources, players and the kind of sunshine not seen in Leith for decades. Let’s see how they fare against the champions.

“ I’m pretty sure Rangers as a football club will be looking at that. They don’t want to be associated with that type of behaviour, it’s not great but they will deal with that I’m sure.”
Brendan Rodgers

“ How? “

No hun in Paradise ever again. Enough is enough.
I’m not one for statements or empty gestures but at the next Celtic match at poundland Celtic should walk off the pitch when anything gets thrown at the players. They should then release a statement with the litany of the occasions that the Celtic players, staff and supporters have been subjected to over the years. The statement should also ask sevco and the SPFL how they are going to ensure a safe environment for the players. If this is not forthcoming forfeit the match and see what happens.

‘They will deal with that I’m sure’ is Brendan’s way of saying ‘you better deal with it … we’re watching you and you’re running out of chances’.
While also putting it out there for the attention of the governing bodies who will be waiting to pounce for the *ahem* good name of Scottish fitba .
2 nd week running Brendan getting asked about the bottle and continued violence at that midden, can someone direct me to same questions for Ferguson et al
The club bottling it again, leaving a young bhoy just in the door fronting it up
Glad Viljami has had his say on this which was neeeded and accurate, it is now in the hands of the League GCC and the Police because these incidents are not 1 offs, not from the same part of that stadium and require sever action to be taken. It is now a Health and Safety at work issue.
GLENDALYSTONSILS
Shameful lack of leadership from Celtic sticking the young keeper in it, watch SMSM turn on him.
Rodgers is a pro but shouldn’t be involved in bottle throwing by Scotlands shame either.
It reeks of Old OldFirmism
My grandson is also going for his first game tomorrow. I hope he gets to see a Celtic victory like his dad. Unlike me when I wAs witness to a Celtic team managed by Jimmy McGrory getting beat at Celtic park by Hearts 60 odd years ago

I predict nothing will happen until somebody is seriously hurt , then perhaps the UK media may pick it up and government may have to act . Swinney’s attitude when interviewed about the tifo the other day was a disgrace so I wouldn’t hold out much hope there .
As for the young Keeper ,on the one hand I’m delighted he spoke out , but on the other hand it should have come from up above .
Bada
I disagree, what better than the victim giving the account in detail , without any corporate speak
We’ve had our own problems with things been thrown.

Good words.
Tomorrow will be a day of reflection for me as well, thanks to Paul Daly, Managing Director, of Celtic Pools who signed his name to a fulsome letter to me after the death last month of my Celtic Pools Agent, Duncan Darroch (Lisbon Lions CSC).
I recognise the commercial imperative of holding onto a customer base nowadays, nevertheless it demonstrated to me there is still a laudable level of decency within our club.
Go easy, Dunky and all Celts who have left us.
Gene- I get that, but it’s every game there,if Liverpool, Newcastle etc were doing it all the time ,the EPL would step in,yet again nothing from SFA/SPFL
Bada
The lack of action from the authorities is so predictable.

Joe Hart ‘shards‘ of glass Sinasolo glass bottle and not a word from Celtic. They can’t be frightened they upset anyone can they?
The first derby game is back there again next season. We know Celtic can’t help them, but the time to draw a line in the sand is way overdue.
Remembering Bradford today

I hope your donkeys enjoyed their treat. It is fitting that these remarkable, largly unappreciated intelligent animals get a bit of recognition.
Best wishes to you and your remarkable donkeys.

At no point in that presser did Ferguson say throwing things is wrong, he said it wasn’t nice.
Unfortunately for hibs the league season started in early August, not January.
Some of the points made in today’s article take me back to Slippy G’s arbitrary league table and half time league tables that he banged on about – utterly meaningless.
I think we’ll see Yang, Forrest, Bernardo, Trusty and Ralston all get starts tomorrow. I’m not sure which of these lads have withered on the sidelines, they’ve been used when needed in my my view and have got reasonable game time.
Decent interviews from both our young keeper and mature manager over the revolting hun behaviour last week.
Surprised how long things have taken however.
Is there still a players union? They are incredibly silent if so.
Wouldn’t wish to be represented by them.
Useless shower
Guy in work telling me that his family are going to Parkhead on Saturday for a birthday treat.
They got their tickets on general sale when it opened on Tuesday, however they had to pay full price for a 4 and a 6 year old.
They also tried to get a recognition on the screens at half time. It would have been £20.00 , however all slots are fully booked for the season.
I wonder if they will be carrying bags of fruit to launch a protest?

“Asked to explain…..”.
It’s quite simple: their supporter base is comprised mainly of bigoted, racist neanderthals.
There’s yer explanation, the more important question is what are you going to do about it?

gp.
did the guy tell you why no childs prices available?
bloody greedy greedy
Surely when there’s a general sale it includes concessions, however wouldn’t be surprised if not!
Concessions are a reduction on the normal price – why would you sell a ticket for example £10 when you can sell it for £30.
Business is business
And the concessions for kids are the potential future full priced ST holders, unless they can’t get in because they are priced oot and their dad can’t afford it 🤔
Maybe we should go back to ” hey mister ge’ us a lift in”
Gene,
One quiet day when I was about 10, I tried to crawl under the turnstile. I was caught.
I don’t know about reserve games but my Dad lifted me over for the first team games.

I was a beneficiary of the lift over for many years.
