FOOTBALL fans will be able to pay their respects to Tommy Gemmell by watching his funeral on YouTube.

The service for the Lisbon Lion, who passed away eight days ago at the age of 73, will be held at Daldowie Crematorium at midday today.

Supporters have been invited to head along to Celtic Park to pay their respects as the funeral cortege goes up Celtic Way at 11am until 11.30am before moving on to the crematorium.

The service is expected to be packed with family, friends and former team-mates gathering to honour Tommy’s memory.

A live stream of the service will now come from the Crematorium with Celtic hosting it on their YouTube channel to allow people to watch the eulogies to the Celtic great and share the memories of the Parkhead hero.

Fans are requested to arrive at Celtic Park around 11am to pay their respects in person and a short statement on the club’s website said: “Tommy’s family kindly thank everyone for all the support they have already received.

“The Celtic Family has lost one of its greatest sons and our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Tommy’s family.”
