Tomorrow’s Scottish Cup final is Celtic’s biggest game since Seville. Having banked our 100th trophy, and an invincible league title, the opportunity to achieve a clean sweep of domestic trophies without loss of a single game is wholly without precedent. Even the Lions didn’t achieve this.
We are in an incredibly special season, an incredibly special time, for the club. When anything seems possible, it is hard to properly evaluate just how well things are going. We have had many title winning seasons, but the club’s trajectory, not to mention the sheer enjoyment of what we’re watching, has seldom come close to this season.
We face the club who have pushed us most in recent years at Hampden. They will arrive rightly believing they can win the trophy. It will be a huge task for Aberdeen, , but the odds on them taking the cup back north with them will be considerably less than those against Celtic completing an undefeated season a year ago.
Congratulations to the Celtic FC Foundation and everyone at the club who contributed to the incredible event at The Hyrdro last night. The scale and sheer professionalism of the night belied the fact that everyone involved were miles out of their comfort zone.
It was an incredible Celtic event. Thanks also to the performers who donated their time to the Foundation for free.
See you later at Greenock!

———————————————————————————————————————————————————–
I think there were over 2000 in the stadium yesterday.
I haven’t seen any footage yet but we filled Pink Street last night.
A wee snippet from an amazing two days.
Pink Street is a bit like Ashton Lane in Glasgow’s West End. It has a party atmosphere but in a continental way.
Every now and then a couple of Police personnel walk by to make sure everything is ok.
Well last night, this female police officer walks up the street with some male colleagues some of whom are in plain clothes but they are obviously cops.
She just happened to mention to someone that she was Jorge Cadete’s sister.
Next thing you know, there she is in amongst a big bunch of Celtic fans who are all singing:
“There’s only one Jorge Cadete …………….”
Her colleagues all have their phones out and are filming this mad dancing and singing party with their police colleague in the middle.
Security? Who needs security when you have a song and a smile?
And have you ever seen a Portuguese Policewoman cry?
Well, in full uniform she danced, sang, laughed and wiped away more than a few tears.
By the way there may be many highlights from this trip but Connaire12’s sermon at mass yesterday was simply outstanding. Truly remarkable.
I would have come here for that alone.
Winning Captains I like many others can only marvel at the work done by BRTH and the Res 12 bhoys, could we make an award ie CQNers of the year. Something to show our appreciation for all their hardwork, I’m sure there are also other deserving posters doing good work who deserve a mention also. Hail Hail Hebcelt
BRTH
Great stuff. Thanks.
I’m looking for a couple of tickets for Sunday. For a young guy from the Czech Republic.
His dad has told him that he must go along to see Lubo play as he is the best player ever!
You had has been trying for weeks so if anyone can help, e-mail me please: vfr@girfuy.co.uk

It’s been a wonderful week, managed to get my sons two briefs for tomorrow, I only hope they see history, and remember it in 50 years, the way I do the Lions.
This is how it feels to be Celtic, and I feckin love it!
Can I just say that what happened in Lisbon was simply extraordinarily, wish I could have gone,
Well done BRTH outstanding work imo.
Sorry pressed wrong button

To pass 15 minutes I read the Daily Record , good grief they don’t half print a load of shi$e in that paper. One potential target being compared to Gullit, another club says it couldn’t stop the Hun’s bidding a £1m for their player !!
They don’t have a pound neither mind a million, seriously if that Hun mob had any sense they would storm the Record’s offices and stop then printing this guff……but they believe it :0)
Just popped on to say a huge thanks to BRTH for the outstanding work he has put in organising Lisboa 50. It’s been incredible being out here with so many fellow tims, yesterday was so emotional from start to finish (canny remember the finish) but as party go pink street takes some beating. To all the posters and lurkers I met last night thanks for the memories! If you can’t remember who I am…I was the annoying bugger with the camera! I have over 400 images of the trip and hopefully captured everyone. Will post most of them on the Facebook page on Sunday.
Frantic07.
Dont tell me you fell for the old ” I am Jorge Cadete’s sister routine”
If I had a euro for every time some crafty portuegese police woman tried that old line on me I would be a wealthy man

Looking at points won per match, Sevco are so “even more utter dross” than Celtic that they could have played an additional 20 games and still not reached Celtic’s points total this year.
We had reached a magnificent 67 points by the 25th of January, match day 21.
So many highlights of the last 3 days in Lisbon. If anyone didn’t ‘get’ Celtic before , they certainly do now – and that includes the bemused local population who still ask which team we are here to play !
The noise, the colour, the camaraderie – all outstanding. The streets awash with Green and White and friendly local faces. Even been offered some white dodgy looking substance half a dozen times and an offer to ‘make love’ once – her guide dog was the give away !
Some of they guys here will no doubt return to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Lisbon Lions. I won’t be here in person but certainly will be in spirit,
A day to recharge the batteries then it’s 90 minutes from a historic treble and an unbeaten 47 match domestic season. Hard to believe we are contemplating this after our first game of the season in Gibraltar.
I’m sure you’ll hear the roar all the way from Lisbon for each goal we score tomorrow, so Hail Hail Celtic fans across the world and BRTH – again – chapeau for everything.
Glorious afternoon still. Just in awe of what our support can do, a truly force of good nature.
Initially I was happy to go to Lisbon last week as I thought this week would be too busy and over emotional. Now, I just wish I had stayed on for another week. Well done, Bhoys.
Like an earlier poster, I too am ticketless for tomorrow.
Last treble was easier as I was a valued “customer” and regular home and away with the lhad. Thankfully , he is sorted providing he gets back from Goat Fell in one piece today.
Tomorrow COULD be special, however what we all know is that our club and our family IS special.
Take care everyone and look after each other. Hail! Hail!
Been all a bit hectic in Lisbon so took a trip to Fatima for some respite wow well worth it. The whole trip has been nothing short of fantastic
To everyone I’ve met it was a pleasure just a bit miffed that I missed Jorge’s sister :-)

I was waiting in a chippy last night and the game was in a TV in the corner, I’d never seen any of it before apart from the goals and the way they speak about it you’d think they won it playing the best football ever seen. It was honestly like watching a junior game, there was no skill or decent football on display at all. How we didn’t manage to win it first when we had Baxter etc is a real annoyance.
……………………….
The Clown who posted that above must have let his chips get very cold standing in a chippy for 90 minutes……….Whit a Phanny.
As above ( Celtic – 2 v Inter Milan -1 ) the Deid Club Huns are up in arms at the media coverage of Lisbon.
One other fact that they like to forget is the number of years that Murray tried to BUY The European Cup………………….. with other peoples money….and STILL feckin FAILED !
HH
It is cold in his shadow.
And they are still freezing, silly billy’s
from Daily RAG tomorrow,
“Boost for Celtic as Brendan Rodgers says Moussa Dembele is fit to start Scottish Cup final
The Frenchman has not played since suffering a hamstring injury in the semi-final victory over Rangers on April 22.”

Afternoon Celts
The blog has been great the past few days, some beautiful memories.
Tomorrow….we can achieve something astonishing…..An invincible season ending with a treble.
That would be unique.
We deserve it, because Celtic supporters are the best in the world, by far.
HH
The GRIFFBHOY MUST surely start even if DemPELE is fit ?
I wonder if Brendan is looking to scare The Sheep even more ahead of the match ? Is brendan playing a wee bit of mind games ?
it’s not usually a pretty sight……”Spooked Sheep”….but tomorrow is different !

Celtic FC 1967 – “One Thursday Night”
Jock Stein at the BBC Sport Awards.
Jock Stein You’re Immortal
Hi all, long time no post!
I watched the Lisbon Documentary on BBC iplayer last night. Fantastic.
Turned on BT Sport just after it to discover the documentary on Sean Fallon was about to start. Fabulous.
The Sean Fallon doc is incredible if you haven’t seen it. They talk about the challenge with Sammy Baird. I grew up with my dad telling me about that. He was in the jungle that day. Said he’d never seen anything like it before or since.
Like all real hard men Sean was a real gentleman underneath it. Not one of these cowardly wee neds the like of which run the streets or ply their Trade as kid on tough guys in modern football. I don’t share personal stuff on line but I know for a fact that Mr Fallon was one of life’s good guys. Celtic are lucky that we’ve had more than our share of those over the years.
The Celtic feeling is incredible of late. I count my blessings every day that I was born in to it. It was never forced on me but you can’t grow up in a good Tim family without absorbing the essence of Celtic. From Walfrid to Stein, to McNeil and O’Neill, Tommy Burns and Paul McStay and the countless decent people we all know among the support – it truly is a great blessing in life to be part of this great movement called Celtic.
Hail hail
News of Moussa’s availability reaches the North East.
fit like, spooked?
