TONEV CONTRACT ROW

CELTIC loan flop Aleksandar Tonev could be in for a bitter contract wrangle with Aston Villa.
The Bulgarian has no future at the Midlands club and boss Tim Sherwood wants to jettison the 25-year-old winger.
However, Tonev, signed by ex-gaffer Paul Lambert for £2.20million from Lech Poznan in July 2013, still has TWO years of his lucrative deal to run.
He has been linked with a return to his homeland and a move to Ludogorets, but he could decide to sit tight and see out his present contract.
Tonev has seen his transfer market value halved in the past 12 months after his disastrous temporary transfer to Ronny Deila’s men.
He started only four games for the club and his career at Parkhead stalled when he was banned for seven games after being found guilty of racially abusing Aberdeen right-back Shay Logan in September.
Tonev also made nine appearances as a substitute, the last in the shock 3-2 Scottish Cup semi-final defeat from Inverness Caley Thistle in April.
