ANGE POSTECOGLOU has admitted he expects “progress over the next few days” with the transfer deadline looming at the end of the month.

There has been intense speculation about the Hoops futures of Croatia World Cup right-back Josip Juranovic and Greek international striker Giorgos Giakoumakis.

Midfielders Yosuke Ideguchi and James McCarthy have also been linked with moves away from the chanpaions and there is the possibility of Norwegian Oliver Abidgaard return early from his loan period to Rubin Kazan.

At the same time, Postecoglou is reportedly closing in on a deal for 21-year-old South Korea striker Oh Hyeon-gyu from K-League side Suwon Bluewings, having also shown an interest in his international team-mate Cho Gue-sung. of Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.

IN? South Korean international striker Oh Hyeon-gyu could be on his way.

OUT? Giorgos Giakoumakis has been linked with a move from the champions.

The Hoops gaffer, preparing for tomorrow’s 12.15pm kick-off in the Scottish Cup opener against Morton in the east end of Glasgow, was asked for an update at the press conference this afternoon.

Postecoglou, speaking to SKY Sports, answered: “At the moment, progress on incomings and outgoings, but nothing confirmed yet.

“Obviously, we are getting to the tail end of the window and I expect progress over the next few days.”

Giakoumakis was missing from the match day squad for the 2-0 midweek league home win over St Mirren with the manager explaining the powerhouse frontman had sustained an injury in the Viaplay League Cup semi-final against Kilmarnock last weekend.

Asked if the player who cost £2.5million from Dutch side VVV-Venlo in August 2021 will still be at the champions by the end of the window, Postecoglou replied: “Until I know or hear otherwise, I expect them all to be Celtic players. but there has been progress with all those kinds of issues.

“I guess over the next few days we will see how it all plays out.”

Giakoumakis was involved in training with the rest of the squad at Lennoxtown this morning.
