Uefa compliance officer set for SFA next week

618

A Uefa compliance officer will visit the Scottish FA early next week after European football’s governing body were asked to look into what was happening inside Scottish football by people within the German game.  Scottish football has been rocked by allegations of improper registration of players for over a month now.  The SFA recently concluded an inquiry into Rangers without reference to the allegations while the Scottish Premier League have announced an inquiry, but indicate it will not report anytime soon.

Although the allegations have consequences beyond the SPL, including international and European football, the SFA have failed to actively address concerns which could see 12 years of football results rewritten, prompting interest from Uefa.

  2. What a peculiar bid for a massively indebted football club:

Kennedy added: “I hope to get something in by Friday purely as a fallback for the administrators, should the other bids fall over or not be acceptable. If I am going to be in a position where they ask me to press on with it, I want to know more about it.” (From Daily Record)

I see there are American Bankers interested too. Maybe the ones who failed to buy Tranmere.

As predicted yesterday, the fary stories continue.

The only interest any of these people will genuinely have is in being prime position to own the Newco when it happens. And even with that there are so many variables. But never mind, it gives the Others something to feel good about as we prepare for a cup final.

    Simple questions for Investors –

Question 1. do you have £100 Million just to get on an even keel? If yes proceed to question 2. If no, thank you for your interest but you’re out.

Question 2. Do you want to see your £100 Million initial outlay again? If Yes then proceed to question 3. If no then thank you for your interest but you’re out.

Question 3. Are you aware of potential legal wranglings over the stadium, training facilities, Ownership of ticket sales, merchandising and catering, get out clauses of the main sellable assets on the playing squad and do you have another £30 Million lying around to get a reasonable team on the park and see the club through what will be a tremendously difficult first season – and remember, you may or may not have full access to our main income stream ie ticket money?

Question 4: Why are you running away so fast??????????

  3. Antifa @ 3.03 (and Maggie McGill who seems less bored by this than the rest of the blog)

My, but you’re a persistent wee creation.

This will be my last reply because it has become tiresome to me. For Maggie, I’ll explain that the gist of my accusation is:-

    1) Antifa is flying a false flag. I believe he is a left wing creation, dreamed up by a right wing mind. I don’t have a problem with multiple postings but I don’t have to be gullible enough to believe there is a new poster called Antifa.

    2) My evidence for the accusation is the widely varying tone of Antifa’s postings. He started off as a breathless 16 year old Dave Spart wannabee with poor grammar and a low grasp of historical accuracy. Within a few weeks, he was producing grammatically accurate posts and speaking with a different tone before lazily inserting a few of the old trademarks. It looked like he’d aged 10 years in 2 weeks but it demonstrates the tell tale signs of someone not taking enough care of their creation to produce a uniform tone. You can see the same problem in last night’s post where he spells several long words (interdependence) correctly but mis-spells know as no.

Again, I must make clear that I am not criticising the grammar, just the lack of care taken over his creation by his creator.

    3) I suggested TSD as his most likely creator because he regularly appeared at times Antifa was on and had fun demolishing Antifa’s “straw man” arguments. I am not 100% on this part of the accusation but we only have a few right wingers here and philvis would have made Antifa a funnier creation.

    4) I have no problem with his being a false flag poster as we have many here, I just suggested that he try to be funnier as otherwise there was no point in a right winger demolishing imaginary “left wing” delusions. I offered Declan as an example of how to do it as he is funnier and crafted with more care, but jtitor was done better too.

Finally, I will reply no more to Antifa postings since he seems determined to keep the act up but I am not buying the act.

  4. Conroy quits after spending too much time in lower divisions.

That is okay, as far as I am concerned.

We want demotion/consequences for mistakes made, honestly or otherwise, and the only gripe that Conroy may have legitimately is that others have not suffered the same consequences.

Mate there is so much in Celtic’s history to make a man proud for ten life times and more, but one chapter that makes my wee heart swell was the times that Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton and Alfredo di Stefano, all wanted Celtic to honour their respective testimonials when they could have asked for any team on the globe.

I think most of us have concerns that Rangers will wriggle out of there current predicament and that a bidder will come up with the master plan to save them. However, it is going to cost them a lot of money and a part of me just cant see it happenning. So like everyone else I will be watching the next part of there history very closely indeed.H.H.

    From Vdeo Celts :

Israeli web-site One Star has claimed that all of the Rangers players that accepted pay cuts have negotiated cut-price release clauses for the summer regardless of whether the club is taken over or survives administration.

After a warning that the club may be unable to complete their fixtures administrators Duff and Phelps announced last Friday that they had struck a wages deal with the players to ensure no redundancies.

Top earners such as Allan McGregor, Steve Davis, Steven Naysmith and Kirk Broadfoot agreed to 75% pay cuts with other lesser paid players taking a 25% cut for the next three months.

Those deals took over a week to negotiate but weren’t without cost to the club.

Every player that has agreed to the wage cut has a written sell-on value in their contract that allows them to quit Ibrox in the summer for a knock-down fee.

Duff and Phelps are expected to begin serious negotiations today to sell the club to interested parties but it seems unlikely that there will be a rush of offers for the stricken club.

With merchandising and catering outsourced and Ticketus due the money for 25,000 season tickets for the next three seasons any new owner faces a massive task to turn Rangers into a viable business.

News that the clubs top players have effectively negotiated cut price transfers in the summer will be a further blow to any potential investor.

With most other parts of the business outsourced; the players, Ibrox Park and Murray Park are the only real assets that a new owner would acquire.

I wonder if we will get a break in the referees ranks, I do hope so, but I must admit, I thought Craven would have spilt more beans, so I won’t be holding my breath on that one.

As for the hun, they still have debts that would fear ye, and have no way of meeting them, just a tad confused why they are still bumbling along.

@mccanna7 coz RFC’s the story not CFC – perhaps their time may come too tho, from what I hear

It seems when he asked Rangers fans for their input they have been telling him stuff like Celtic have influence in many SPL board rooms and within the SFA.

There you go. It’s all a Timmy conspiracy.

Don’t think this guy will get too much other than obfuscation and he’ll get sickened and walk away.

If on the other hand he has been hearing the people who run our club have been less white than white I’d be fascinated to know who he got this information from.

Bottom line- Celtic pay their dues and Rangers have not been doing so.

  18. brimmer

Agreed, but I don’t think that was ever a consideration with those three named.

Also, besides the money that Celtic take to players testimonials, I think the atmosphere we take with us is a big attraction too, players wnat to go out on a high; on a night to remember. Celtic the team and the Support deliver that.

I posted yesterday that I won’t be getting my hopes up by yet another ‘outsider’ coming up to Scotland and trying to ‘sort out’ the rangers problem.

I hope he is interested in discovering the truth and sees past the obvious attempts to muddy the waters. He is looking for assistance from rangers fans and that is fair enough but it is all too easy to get drawn in to the lazy and tired assertian that we are the heads to their tales. particularly for those who don’t understand the cultural intricacies they are dealing with in Glasgow.

So again, good luck to him but the early signs are not good. If Celtic prosper from Rangers demise it will have for the most part been through the efforts of Celtic people. UEFA, English men at SPL/ SFA and southern journos have all let us down before. I won’t be relying on them now.

I see Roddy Forsyth last night owned up to himself and Ewing Grahame being a poodle. Sounded like the lack of an invite to suck on Murrays succulent hot dog has induced a temper tantrum.

I also think we should monitor the number of ex Rangers employees who were highly likely to have been EBT beneficiaries being removed from the front line in case anyone asks the question “Were you a member of Rangers EBT and did you benefit from it ?

I have invited two hun families round to my place on Sunday ok hun husbands. I have done it through their wives and told them to keep it a secret. I have invited their children also. Told them to surprise their partners on Sunday morning they think it is a Derby. Normally both would jump at this chance. I have hardly heard from them recently and the wifes are aware of this and found it a wee bit strange about the lack of contact and want to address this issue..

Ultimately there will be some sort of reciprocal look at how Celtic have been ran as a business, and undoubtedly someone will try to stir up scandal. This is very much required for Scottish society to function. Can you imagine what would happen if the axiom “they are both as bad as each other” was to be officially disproved?
