Uefa compliance officer set for SFA next week

618

A Uefa compliance officer will visit the Scottish FA early next week after European football’s governing body were asked to look into what was happening inside Scottish football by people within the German game.  Scottish football has been rocked by allegations of improper registration of players for over a month now.  The SFA recently concluded an inquiry into Rangers without reference to the allegations while the Scottish Premier League have announced an inquiry, but indicate it will not report anytime soon.

Although the allegations have consequences beyond the SPL, including international and European football, the SFA have failed to actively address concerns which could see 12 years of football results rewritten, prompting interest from Uefa.

  5. According to some, the guy representing the administrators in today’s proceedings, David Sellar QC, is one of the top men in his field. This being the case, I assume his services are not inexpensive. I can’t see the administrators paying for this, so can only presume that the ‘gers have got legal aid to see this through! Can this be so, or is another creditor been added to the list??

Had the pleasure of an invite to Newtonhill FC’s sportsmanship dinner last Friday in the Hilton Aberdeen.

Neil “Razor” Ruddock was guest speaker….an absolute fat buffoon of a man and crude as well….but a wee guy called Frank Robb came on after him and he was absolutely hilarious.

The reason I say this is Ruddock is guest speaker at a dinner ma pal is going to on Thursday just as I’d given Ruddock a verbal doin’. Ah well….maybe I’m a bit of a critic

Paul67 this is the post I was going to make before your latest article!

Reports of the Court hearing today are interesting. Duff and Duffer are not it seems contesting the validity of the Ticketus deal, but seemingly wanting to delay payments due to them by RFC (almost IA) until 2015. This will be contested vigorously by Ticketus, and will run for weeks and weeks.

Presumably D&D now believe that Ticketus have a valid claim to the season books, in which case blows any chance of a sensible bid being put forward any time soon (not that there was much chance anyway).
