UEFA KEEP CELTIC WAITING

CELTIC are being forced to await their punishment from UEFA after a disciplinary hearing was postponed last night.
The Scottish champions face two charges. One for the use of flares by Hoops fans in their away match at Fenerbahce and the other for five bookings picked up by players in the 1-1 draw.

Defenders Dedryck Boyata, Mikael Lustig, Jozo Simunovic and Kieran Tierney and midfielder Stefan Johansen all received yellow cards in Turkey.

Celtic were handed a £6,000 fine for having five players cautioned – and Virgil van Dijk, now with Southampton, sent off – during the second leg of last season’s Europa League tie against Inter Milan in Italy where Ronny Deila’s men lost 1-0 to exit the competition on a 4-3 aggregate.
The potential fine over the use of pyrotechnics would be the eighth time the club have been rapped for fan misbehaviour in European competition over the past five years.
