‘UNACCEPTABLE ‘ IDAH: NEW TWIST

ADAM IDAH may have edged closer to a move to Celtic and a Norwich City exit after the Championship club took disciplinary action against the striker.

The Republic of Ireland international, who scored nine goals – including the Scottish Cup winner – in his 19 loan appearances at the champions – is in trouble with the Carrow Road outfit’s bosses.

Idah, 23, failed to meet up with the rest of the squad in time to fly out to Austria for their pre-season training camp.

He caught up later and was in the stands when the team drew 2-2 with Bundesliga side Hoffenheim yesterday.

ROARING SUCCESS…Adam Idah yells with delight after his Scottish Cup winner.

Fuming boss Johannes Thorup, speaking in a report in the Scottish Sun, fumed: “With Adam, there are some internal issues where he reported late for the flight on Sunday going to Austria.

“We decided he should come as quickly as possible.

“But, of course, he could not be part of this game because there are some things we can accept and there are some things we cannot accept.

“And this is a part we cannot accept.”

It has been reported a bid of around the £4.5million mark from the Hoops for the powerhouse attacker has been knocked back by the Norfolk club.

At the same time, it has been suggested Idah has let the Norfolk club know of his preferences and where he would like to play in the new season.

The Cork-born frontman went into Parkhead folklore when he pounced in the fading moments to drive the silverware clincher past Rangers keeper Jack Butland in the Scottish Cup showcase at Hampden on the iconic date of May 25.

Idah, who still has four years to run on his contract at the East Anglian outfit, has also apparently attracted the attention of Italian Serie A pair Fiorentina and Hellas Verona.
