SCOTT McTOMINAY could go out on loan from Manchester United – and that news has alerted Celtic.
The Scotland international midfielder has hardly figured since Jose Mourinho was axed last month to be replaced by Ole Gunnar Solksjaer until the completion of the current campaign.
The 22-year-old Hoops fan was crowned the Portuguese maverick gaffer’s Player of the Year at the club’s end-of-season awards ceremony last year.
But McTominay appears to have fallen out of favour since the removal of Mourinho.
It’s now believed that Old Trafford chiefs are considering sending the Lancaster-born star out on a temporary transfer to get some game-time.
Any move could depend on Belgian international Marouane Fellaini’s future with United keen to offload the midfield man who plays in the same anchor role as McTominay.
