Today will see the Swedes compete in a playoff round for the first time since then, so this is nosebleed territory for tonight’s visitors.
Their most impressive result this season was a 1-2 win in Moldova against Sheriff. An early own-goal was enough to give them the edge for an aggregate win. They travel without suspended top scorer Tarik Elyounoussi, who handed Neil Lennon his pre-match team talk by telling the media “When you hear the name Celtic, you think they are a big team. It is helpful to hear a bit of disrespect from opponents before a game. I trust we will reserve comment on the standard of the Swedish league until after this tie.
There will be plenty of hurt in the Celtic dressing room before kick-off tonight. Hurt that three times they let Cluj back into the last tie and the manner of some of the defending. Hurt too, at what has been said and written since. Defeat is not a pleasant business at Celtic.
What matters is whether the manager and players can use this pain as fuel to destroy AIK at Celtic Park tonight. We will know soon enough.

It Is very strange to think how quickly things have gone awry. According to what I have been reading, we have gone from having a really good and fairly comprehensive scouting network to a one man and his dug operation. That my friends is a gross dereliction of duty. We are now hearing rumours of discontent and incompetence at Lennoxtown and that some players are wanting to leave. Players brought in not being given a chance; looks like Lenny is back to his old habit of having his favourites. If this is the case then I guess morale will be low as well.
It is obvious to a blind man that nine in a row is in peril and I think Peter the bonus eater will now be beginning to feel uncomfortable. I think he has every reason to because a sizeable section of the fan base have reached the end of their patience. One scenario we may witness will be that instead of car park demos and other public manifestations of displeasure, they will simply walk away at SB renewal time and I do not think empty promises and a few loans or panic buys will cut it, no I think Peter’s time could be coming to an end.

Anyone know are train fares a bit crazy in the UK, Mrs Corkcelt & myself are travelling from Stansted to Chelmsford tomorrow and was having a peek at the options i.e. Train or Taxi but unless I’m missing something which is quite possible train fares seem 30 plus quid per person per one way journey, Whilst a Taxi crowd are about 90 quid return. Seems very strange that Taxi is cheaper than train,
