Vacant third striker role. The Great Disgruntled

Sunday’s defeat to Celtic was by no means Hibernian’s worst result of the season.  The previous week they lost 3-0 at St Mirren.  Earlier in the League Cup, they won against Peterhead, Queen’s Park and Elgin, but lost on a trip over The Bridge to Kelty Hearts, a sore one on more than one level. 

Celtic’s visits to Easter Road have seldom been so straightforward, so confidence is high ahead of Sunday’s repeat encounter.  Brendan Rodgers will be wary of how he tripped up at the corresponding round of the League Cup a year ago.  That tournament is the only occasion he has not won a domestic competition over his two periods as Celtic manager, but he is likely to make his selections with an eye on the weeks ahead. 

Kyogo’s delicate shoulder, and Adam Idah’s limited action since his virtuoso performance at Hampden in May, gives the manager a dilemma.  Who to play up front?  Rocco Vata will be unaware of what he passed up when leaving Celtic, until later in life.  The third striker role remains open, for now. 

Hampden has the largest car park I have seen in front of a football stadium.  Ibrox, on the other hand, has no car park at the front of the stadium, disgruntled fans cannot loiter on Edmiston Drive. 

Despite Hampden’s neutral acre out front, you wonder if even this car park will be big enough to host the Great Disgruntled, should St Johnstone win tomorrow.

    Sorry to hear about your health issues. Hopefully you will get the benefit outweighing the inconvenience and pain soon.

     

     

    I don’t know why with Celtic on track to be winning 13 out of 14 leagues and 19 out of 25 leagues they you can’t just enjoy it.

     

     

    Making up stuff about boards (who don’t dictate our strategy) or others who don’t make the decisions or even implement them seems daft.

     

     

    One man is responsible for the strategy and a couple of folk implement it and Brendan is very much in on it.

     

     

    Rangers would die again (and will) for the same structure.

    Imagine a world where you would wake up a 50 year old rangers supporter today.

     

     

    After being fed supremacist bile for decades and winning throughout teenage years and 20s you had Manchester and then more leagues and then were mistreated and relegated (in your world) but you had the journey back and ranjurs men were in charge. You didn’t need to see or know the finances. Ranjurs men would sort it and bail you out. Then you had your 55 yo keep you going. Then Seville and drinking your own piss but you got to a final.

     

     

    And then this. No big house…. Or a debt ridden asbestos ridden edifice. £100m in debt. Worthless shares and a shit team you can’t even sell.

    You believe sir David. Tenner for Fiver and Floating pitches. Your rightful place. Winning the big cup and keeping them taigs in their place.

     

     

    It wasn’t hope that killed you. It was arrogance and ego and deluded self entitlement.

     

     

    Now Ranjurs don’t give you that wee endorphin boost. Well maybe every few seasons with the pre season cup. Now they only heap more misery on your already miserable life. The big house is an embarrassment. It’s all as bad as the rest of your miserable existence.

    I really dont understand why you focus so much on what ” Rangers” do our have done.

     

     

    Your attempt to ridicule them has actually highlighted that a basket case of a club have reached 2 European finals.

     

    I regard European football as our benchmark. What have we done in Europé during this time. ?
