Having already overruled erroneous officials on two occasions, yesterday’s Video Assistant Referee could bear no more and declined to confirm the ball struck Joe Newell’s arm before he scored for Hibernian.
Bad though that decision was, it was nothing on the second half incident when a penalty was not awarded to Celtic. Josh Campbell, who was already on a yellow card, shoved Benjamin Nygren off the field with both hands inside the box. It was a stonewall penalty and a similar incident to the foul given against Sebastian Tounekti which led to the Hibs equaliser. Campbell should have received a second yellow, reducing Hibs to 9 men for the second week running.
The VAR team was not prepared to go there. They could do nothing about Celtic’s onside goal. Jamie McGrath’s studs to the shin of Alistair Johnston was equally undeniable. A line was drawn, Celtic were getting no more.
This is how it is going to be between now and the end of the league campaign. I predict Celtic will get a soft penalty in the Scottish Cup Final, “proof” that these things even themselves out. In the league, anything that can be overlooked will be overlooked. You know decisions against Celtic are laughable when even Kris Boyd confirms it.
Celtic dominated the encounter even before the 21st minute red card, but failed to test stand-in keeper Jordan Smith often enough. The return to the starting line-up of Alistair Johnston brought the equaliser. The fullback timed his run and cross perfectly, leaving Daizen Maeda the simplest of tap-ins.
From then until late in the second half, Celtic fans were thinking, “When’s he going to bring on Kelechi?” Our 29-year-old striker is by the length of the M8 between Edinburgh and Glasgow the most talented player in Scotland, who looks like he is playing against schoolboys. Getting the best out of him over the next three games will determine the outcome of the league.

Even if we’d have kept MoN on in his first stint for just one more game we’d likely have won the league comfortably.
An Run,
If you think about the chances we squandered at Tannadice, should have been easily 4 or 5,then go and lose two goals.Kenny missed a Hat Trick ,combined yardage of them, around 10 yards.
There’s your goal average in one game.
Going by some of the comments on here yesterday and today
We haven’t a hope in hell of winning the SPL Title far less the Double
Thankfully not all Celtic supporters and No Celtic players will see it the same way….
Celtic Glasgow……..not Snowflake Central
We’ll never give up till we win the Cup
And the Scottish Football League….
FF,
Trophyless,3rd place,32 nd
in Europa League.Knocked out of both Cups by Celtic.
Is this regression? ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
The Huns can catch us but I can’t see them catching Hearts. That result tonight has had massive financial implications with the chance of direct entry to the CL for them. That in itself is beneficial for us.

The only ” Snowflakes” are the ones still supporting this Board.
Maybe not” Snowflakes”.Peters Pansy’s more apt.
Have to credit hearts for 2nd half although the tribute act were awful in second 45. Their composure/decision making in last few minutes was terrible.
Let’s hope an early goal hits them hard next Sunday and we go on to have another big scoring beautiful Sunday!!!
It might be detrimental to us…but I’m over the moon the huns got beat …love it love it

i am delighted the stench will not win this league
To think that if that Hibs goal had been properly disallowed and the Nygren penalty given – as clearly they should have been (and the penalty converted of course) the goal difference between us and Hearts would be a three.
All else being equal we would only need a 2 goal win in the final game.
I wonder who came up with Cvancara and adamu Jr as January loans ?
We were after Balikwisha for 2yrs he must be up there with the German Ch we signed awhile back Comperr was it. Useless and wasting fortunes, we might get a couple of quid back on Tounekti but a fraction of his fee.

GDT,
The chance was lost in the January window. After their absurd hiring of the Football Clouseau…

SHOCKING DUTCH COURT BOMBSHELL: COVID JABS OFFICIALLY LABELED BIOWEAPONS in Historic Case Against Bill Gates & Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla!
For the FIRST TIME EVER, a Dutch court is hearing sworn evidence that the mRNA “vaccines” are **military bioweapons** — not medicine.
The late Professor Francis Boyle — the world’s top bioweapons expert who literally **drafted the U.S. Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act** — was set to testify against Gates, Bourla and the rest of the “Architects of the Great Reset.”
In his damning affidavit, Boyle called the COVID injections **“franken-shots”** — synthetic biological weapons packed with illegal gain-of-function spike proteins and Pentagon/DARPA nanotechnology delivery systems designed to cause **massive injury and death**.
**Then, just days after agreeing to testify under oath in this very case… Professor Boyle was found dead.**
Coincidence? Or convenient silencing of the one man who could legally define these shots as bioweapons under international law?
His final testimony is now **court evidence.** Plaintiffs injured (and one now dead) from the jabs are suing Gates, Bourla, former Dutch PM Mark Rutte and others for **crimes against humanity** under the Rome Statute.
The court has ordered Gates and Bourla to appear and answer for this.
**WHAT WAS CALLED “CONSPIRACY THEORY” IS NOW OFFICIAL COURT EVIDENCE.**
This is Nuremberg 2.0 unfolding in real time.
The Great Reset is crumbling. The architects are being dragged into the light.

Rest in Peace all innocent Human Beings who were sadly caught out by this evil deceptive Genocide.
Sad are the homes of the fallen innocents….
ROHL MUST HEAD !!
Flynn or what e ever your name is. Maybe even Kev J. Why don’t you jus piss off. You are nothing more than a bad smell that is hard to shift
Flynn,
You do know how courts and court cases work?
That evidence has been heard in court or lodged by way of sworn statements does not give it a shred of credibility or any legal status until that evidence (which is certain to be challenged by counter expert evidence) is accepted by the court as credible and until any claim that evidence is led to support is upheld by the court.
Until then it’s just hot air.
I can accept us not winning the league. What I can’t accept is the undeniable sabotage this horrific board of ours inflicted upon our club.
We were in a stable position and gaining confidence THEN!!!
They handed the managers job to a ‘lunatic’ when we were joint top.
Absolute disgrace.
Really good final session at the Crucible. Now 16 a piece, so best of 3 for the title.

If Hertz do win the league we can safely blame the megalomaniac Irish financier for appointing the dud Frenchman on the recommendation of his spiv Svengali.
*And that’s about the size of it
Great finish at the snooker

I can’t see us beating Hearts by 3 goals, myself. Other Celtic teams, yes, but not this one. We haven’t won a game by more than 2 goals for a long time, excepting the Scottish Cup and we haven’t even beaten Hearts this season, anyway.
*SS mentioned tight championship wins yesterday and aye, I can recall them all but the one that sticks in my mind right now is the one that is also so topical and thats Albert Kidd Day.
We came intae that season quite euphoric due to our win in the 100th SC Final at the tale end of the previous season I can still hear Archie haircut saying “Only twice in the history of the Scottish Cup have goals been scored direct from free-kicks. I wonder if this will be another,” and Davie Provan gladly obliged, and later on Paul McStay admitting that their minds were now contemplating a replay only for big Roy of the Rovers to shout as he pushed us forward “come on we can do it” and we did to give Davie Hay his first trophy as manager as a Roy cross was met by the rubber mhan Frank McGarvey who heidered it intae the net.
However there seemed to be the opposite effect especially with letting Frank leave and we widnae sign a replacement until nearly half way intae the season, Mark McGhee, as SS mentioned we did lose 6 games and draw 10, the first of those losses was at swinecastle while the last on January 4th 3 days after beating the huns at Parkheid 2-0, we only won 2 though tying 6 in our next 8 games the last of those was that remarkable 4-4 game at the bigot dome.
After that we went on a remarkable winning run of 8 games starting off with a 5-0 win at Kilbowie Park and culminating with the same score in that never to be forgotten day at Love Street, however those two and the 4-4 draw would be the last of the high scoring games, as the rest were three 2-0, two 2-1 and one 1-0, this with a team containing the goal scoring prowess Roy Aitken, Paul McStay, Murdo McLead, Brian McCalir, Tomm Burns, Mark McGhee and he whose name should NEVER be mentioned when good Celtic mhen gather.
In fact we failed to beat the jam tarts all that season, one loss and 3 ties, it was pretty much a similar story with the huns wining 1, losing 1 and drawing 2 but what makes this worse is they actually finished the season in 5th place 15 points behind us and the team that beat them the day with a 21 and 18 GD respectively, they were truly raphael.
It was the tarts title to lose as the run in continued and in our final home game of the season we could only beat Dundee 2-0 with 2 second half goals 1 in the dying minutes, and so it was left to 2 away games if we wanted to recue our disappointing season having gone out of both cups to the hibbees and getting knocked out of the lavvy cup to our arch enemy atletico madrid.
So it’s a Wednesday night and I’m listening to my shortwave when the score comes through, another 2-0 at Fir Park against a side that only managed to stay up by having an inferior GD to the Bankies, it was one of those awe ffs as we didnae manage tae claw back the swinecastle mobs superior GD and they hudnae lost a game since a 0-1 loss in late September at Kilbowie Park.
And so on tae the Saturday and I gave the scores the body swerve as at the same time there was a show on here called the “Road to Wembley” previewing the upcoming FA Cup Final, a Merseyside derby match.
I did slip upstairs just tae hear how we got on, lying hauf under the bed with my antenna jammed intae the metal part of the frame for better reception at approx 11:10 I was informed that we were 5 up, wtf as I bumped my heid off the frame but the other game at dens park was still 0-0.
And then a huge roar went up from our support with the commentator suggesting that there must be a goal at dens, shortly after he said the same thing, so with 3 games to go and Fir Park again featuring on this race we still have dreams and songs to sing, oh and as SS said yesterday we have had a lot of tight victories and this one will be all the more sweeter as we have been written off too many times this season.
Oh and btw I’m glad that bunch of hammer throwers lost again the day
Please understand how our wee parochial world works…
Without the huns having a chance.
Celtic will pump Sevco, Motherwell and Hearts.

WILL win this league
That result cost them £40m. They were guaranteed that as champions.
There is no chance they will get through the qualifiers from round 2 of league side of the draw.
The level is brutal.
If we can come second it means CL (unlikely for same reasons as Huns) or Europa for us and Conference for Huns.
Winning the league would still mean a tough qualifying route midst a rebuild of leadership structure and team.
For once aside from 56 v 55 it is actually not quite as important.
Them winning and guaranteed income for next season was a concern.
However were we to win our 5th league in a row it really would be incredible and really would destroy the mentality and belief of every domestic opponent for years to come.
I still believe we can. I reckon Stephen Welsh and Jack McGinns grandson have one more mission to accomplish. Then it’s over to us.
Unfortunately for us – we are one bad result from “we could see it coming”. Why , because this side is predictable and lack mobility. Sarachi and tierney need to start. Sarachi is a player who gives us dig and drive. So far Maloney and MON can’t see it.
i am delighted that the stench will not win the ieague
Burnley78 @ 10:24 pm,
Hearts will be lucky to cross the halfway line in the qualifiers.
