NICK WALSH will be in charge of Celtic’s Premier Sports League Cup semi-final against Rangers at Hampden on Sunday.
He will be assisted on the wings by Daniel McFarlane and Frank Connor while Steven McLean, who refereed the champions’ 3-1 loss to Heats at Tynecastle yesterday, will be in control of VAR.
Brendan Rodgers will be facing new Ibrox boss Danny Rohl for the first time. The German, who replaced Russell Martin who was sacked after only 123 days in the hot seat, will be taking the club to the national stadium for only his fourth game as Govan gaffer.
Before turning their attention to the last-four encounter in defence of the trophy they won last December, Celtic will be hoping to get back to winning ways in the league after losing back-to-back outings against Dundee, o-2 at Dens Park, and Derek McInnes’ side.
Ryan Lee will be referee for the visit of Falkirk on Wednesday. It will be his fifth Premiership match of the season and his first time officiating a fixture concerning Rodgers’ men.
The rookie ref, who made his debut last term, will be assisted by Ross Macleod and David Dunne while Grant Irvine takes charge of VAR.
