News that a new company, “Glasgow Rangers Limited”, has been registered today with an address matching a waste management company in Buckinghamshire, has delicious irony but in itself means little. After Rangers owner, Craig Whyte, laid out all sorts of medium-term scenarios for the club in media interviews last week a land-rush for fresh rangers intellectual property, including a company name, should be expected.
If those with secured property rights over Ibrox are busy forming a new company, they are unlikely to be the only ones.
Still, waste management. It’s perfectly scripted.

This is a question which I’ve been too embarrassed to ask but as I’m a complete financial nincompoop (!!!!) and as there are a lot of financial experts out there (no sarcasm- honestly) I hope someone will take pity – and not laugh at my ignorance.
So. Craig White is a preferred creditor. That much I understand. In the event of administration he’s first in the queue to get paid. Did he in fact pay the bank £18 million to purchase Rangers last May? Or did he underwrite the £18 million debt in which case – and to my limited knowledge – he did not actually part with any money – bar the £1 purchase price for RFC?
Whew! Actually feel much better already.

Just sorted it, thanks, knew I was thick.
Still disny change my view that somethings no right :>)
Cheers for the work mwd

Of course not it will only be highlighted as a means to discredit the facilities at Lennoxtown.
So the billionaire already planning his new company name for when they to bust. Hunbelievable…
I cant believe Bangura now a long term injury and Mulgrew doubtful. What the hell are they doing at Lennoxtown? HH
Apologies. Previous was an earlier copy of results.

Anthony Stokes top SPL goal scorer looks a decent bet just now at 8/1, might not last long.
Five goals, naiblanace on 9, jelavic on 6 and possible fire sale of both of the diving swines.
Also just bet Celtic to win the league at 7/4, just because thats whats going to happen.
Some ejit from saudi coming in now

We really need to get through to the next round in this competition. In fact we need to win the competition, end of story.
So have the Celtic board made a deal not to question the validity of the european lisence granted to the hun ??, are the board guilty of dereliction of duty to protect the interests of the shareholders ???
Wee Grady defo checks out the Hoops sites and probably posts on here! Keep playing the game, wee man.

Tax dodgers should never ever get a get out of jail card. Back to Go for the lot of them without collecting the $200
Im another fellow thicky when it comes to a lot of the business guff
Are we incinuating those in charge of the huns have set up a new company with a new name which includes the word ‘rangers’ or that other forward thinking fellows in the know have claimed ownership rights on various and likely used variations including the word ‘rangers’ so they can sell it for a few quid when it becomes required….
Would not be difficult given our recent signing record…

I read the news about Alex Milosevic and must say that in my opinion it’s total propaganda.
When was last time when you beat Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea in the race for the player?
Somebody is fooling Celtic scouts again.

LOL!! I’m in good company then!

I assume that’s what Phil means by looking closer to home, could be wrong.
guidi on clyde slating alistair johnston for not answering question on HMRC 18months ago – 18months ago? so why hasnt the journalist been probing and exposing like phil and others managed to do? He is as guilty as the rangers board of smokescreen – he also cheated joe public as did ALL of scotlands media shame!
Now they blame the previous board – jokesters

Wish we could get the magician on the pitch
TET,
I hope so, bloody disgraceful administration by a PLC.
Find it difficult to get excited about this huns finance stuff. I fully expect that when all is done and dusted:
– eleven huns, probably most if not all of the current squad
– will be playing at ibrox
– will be playing under some derivation of the name rangers
– will still be in the SPL
– will fulfill the current fixture list
and we will still be 7/10 points behind (depending on how you look at the game in hand).
I would love to think that they would disappear and that any new team would have to start at the bottom but it’s just not going to happen.
Deep in your heart you know thats the most likely scenario.
not guidi , dawell
The Scottish establishment will look after them as they always do.
L53 – in my simplistic view of things, they’ve been insolvent for years. They only got away with it by somehow convincing a certain firm of surveyors that Mordor was worth more than three times prime Edinburgh real estate, i.e. Swinecastle. I don’t know how Minty managed that one, but all above board apparently!
After that, we were told that Lloyds wouldn’t let MIH take such a massive hit on their books by practically giving away the Huns.
Next thing we know, Feldman has supposedly bought der Hun from Minty for a County Down and may or may not have given/promised Lloyds a minimum of £18M.
Confused? You will be….join the Thicko Clique!

Lurgan 53 – Acceptance is the first step to recovery. Like the poster says, “hang in there, baby”
As I understand CW only pays the 18mil to Lloyds in the event that they win the large tax case. If he pays this it will be as a secured loan from one of his other companies, so they remain preferred creditors in case of administration. In the event they lose then it could be administration, with HMRC possibly applying for liquidation. I believe, but I’m not sure on this, in a liquidation event there are no preferred creditors.
Win the case then CW owns 85% of rangers for 18m (secured loan), lose the case and he owns 85% for £1.

If numpties like us on the blogs can suss out the scam the hun and the sfa have pulled, disny say much for out admin staff, or as you say, dodgy deals possibly.
Whatever, I trust Phil will suss it out.
This whole thing could get out of control.
aldersyde avenue,
Do you not think/believe Rangers will go into administration?

Taliking to a geezer down here, and he tells me this is not just a test case on the EBT’s there is also a test case declaring the taxman is not a creditor, there is/was no contract to pay the tax. Therefore removing themselves from all creditor listings and working to the law of the land whom they represent.
Hopefully true.
Bangura out now as well!
What next, the Black Death at Lennoxtown?
Bourne-I remember going to a LC tie at CP v Stirling Albion (i think) about 1980, i think a young striker Nicholas got a couple.Agree,a few of the U 19 squad should be promoted to first team squad.

I still think he will bail out before the big tax case, it makes no financial sence to stumble on.
Lurgan 53
It’s like this. The guy next door to you has a new car in the driveway.
Did he pay cash or did he take out a loan? Unless you have the right contacts you’ll never know. It’s very unlikely that he will tell you he took out a loan. The car salesroom will have been paid. Lloyd’s Bank will have been paid their £18m and it’s highly unlikely they will ever divulge from where it came. It’s a wee bit complicated I know.
TTTT / SonsofErin
Thanks for that. A little clearer now.
As for the £18 million – no money has changed hands then – at this stage.
aye, that would be worrying
