WATCH AGAIN: 26 FATEFUL SECONDS

IT TOOK precisely TWENTY-SIX SECONDS for Aberdeen to hit Celtic’s crossbar and for the champions to race to the other end and score the killer third goal.

In that moment, any chance the Dons had of salvaging anything from the Premiership encounter vanished at rain-lashed Parkhead last night.

The champions were in control of the contest and two goals ahead courtesy of strikes from Camilo Duran – another whizzbang effort – and Benjamin Nygren, with another opportunistic finish.

As the match edged towards the interval, the visitors who had rarely ventured into enemy territory all evening, forced a corner-kick on the right.

Alarmingly, keeper Viljami Sinisalo got caught under the ball as it swirled to the far post. Gavin Molloy rose above Yang Hyun-jun to thump in a header that thudded against the face of the crossbar.

THREE AND EASY…South Korean raider Yang Hyun-jun celebrates Celtic’s breakaway third goal against Aberdeen.

The ball was worked to the Celtic right where Colby Donovan hammered the ball down the wing.

The Dons defence dithered and that is fatal when the always-eager Duran is around.

The Colombian seized possession, waited until the right moment before releasing a pass into the tracks of Yang who had made good ground down the middle of the pitch.

The South Korean eased onto the ball before delivering the knock-out blow with a drive of unerring accuracy low past the keeper to his right.

Within a mere 26 seconds, the game swung from the possibility of Stephen Robinson’s side cutting Celtic’s advantage in half to the hosts rampaging into a 3-0 lead.

It’s certainly worth a second look, courtesy of those good folk at CelticPlayer Unique Angle.
