ADAM IDAH is still awaiting his first goal against Rangers at Parkhead.
However, Celtic’s £9.5million powerhouse striker is enjoying a fair measure of success on his travels against the Govan club.
It was Idah, then on loan from Norwich City, who thumped in what looked like being the winner in the league encounter at Ibrox on April 7 last year.
The Republic of Ireland international’s whiplash drive flummoxed keeper Jack Butland to give the champions a 3-2 advantage in the 87th minute. However, victory was snatched away deep in stoppage-time when Rabbi Matondo claimed the leveller.
GOVAN GLEE…Adam Idah enjoys his latest success against Rangers at Ibrox.
Idah, though, had the last laugh the following month when he latched onto a rebound from Butland to lash in the late winner in the Scottish Cup Final. On this occasion, despite seven minutes of added-on time, there was no way back for Philippe Clement’s team.
And the Cork-born frontman claimed a personal away-day hat-trick when he struck the Hoops’ equaliser at Ibrox in the 1-1 deadlock against their city neighbours yesterday.
The Irishman’s glory moment is certainly worth another look – courtesy of those good folk at Celtic TV Unique Angle.
