WATCH AGAIN: A PUMMELLING IN PARADISE

RAMPANT Celtic scored three goals and could have added at least the same again as they pulverised Philippe Clement’s overwhelmed Ibrox side.

Daizen Maeda and Kyogo Furuhashi netted twice in the opening half and skipper supreme Callum McGregor applied the finishing touches to a superb all-round performance when he pummelled No.3 behind a stunned Jack Butland to make certain the points were remaining in Paradise.

Kyogo also had one ruled out in the 11th minute following an extremely dodgy VAR offside call and there were other near things around the visitors’ goal as they escaped a thrashing against relentless champions.

NAME GAME…Daizen Maeda celebrates the opening goal in the 3-0 derby triumph.

As if it wasn’t tough enough for Butland facing the Hoops’ firing squad, the English keeper had to pull off and instinctive diving save to his left after his own defender, Robin Propper, had deflected a right-wing cross from Alistair Johnston.

The ball was arrowing in at his left-hand corner before he plunged to frantically push it round the upright.

No wonder Butland looked shell-shocked at the end of a pulsating 90 minutes in the east end of Glasgow.

His team-mates weren’t far behind him.

It’s worth a second look courtesy of those good folk at Celtic TV Unique Angle.
