WATCH AGAIN AS CELTIC ENJOY 4-GOAL SPREE

CELTIC came out of the traps in a rush to get the job done against Falkirk at Parkhead last night.

Brendan Rodgers’ men swept away John McGlynn’s men with a non-stop performance to rack up a 4-1 win to book their place in the Premier Sports League Cup quarter-final draw at 8pm this evening.

It was an exhilarating and relentless display all round by the champions and it made for a fairly hectic 90 minutes-plus for former Hoops keeper Scott Bain, returning to the ground for the first time since leaving the club at the end of last season.

The netminder responded with a sound show and denied his old pals on a few occasions with some saves that rolled back the years.

THE START OF SOMETHING GOOD…Daizen Maeda is flat out as he bullets a header wide of Scott Bain in Celtic’s 4-1 win over Falkirk at Parkhead.

However, even the heroic Bain had no chance when Daizen Maeda dived full length onto a Kieran Tierney knockdown to blitz in a header for a 26th-minute opener.

Arne Engels had hammered a vicious angled free-kick off the crossbar only moments earlier.

And Bain, who won 14 honours in his seven years at Parkhead, had no answer when Alistair Johnston and Dane Murray, with his first-ever Celtic counter, made it 3-0 after the turnaround.

Liam Henderson diverted a low cross from Yang Hyun-jun into his own net before there was a consolation strike from Keelan Adams for the visitors.

It’s worth a second look – courtesy of those good folk at Celtic TV Unique Angle.
