WATCH AGAIN: AUSTON JOINS GOAL PARADE

0

AUSTON TRUSTY claimed his first Celtic goal as he rose to an Arne Engels inswinging left-wing corner-kick to bullet a header past helpless St Mirren keeper Zach Hemming at Parkhead yesterday.

Nicolas Kuhn fired in a double in the champions’ 3-0 victory to hoist his personal goal tally to 16 in an impressive campaign so far.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have thumped in 55 goals in 20 league games in a praiseworthy scoring sequence and Trusty, signed for £6million from Sheffield United on deadline day, joined fellow-defenders Alistair Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Liam Scales and Greg Taylor among the list of the team’s marksmen.

FIST OF TRIUMPH…Auston Trusty celebrates his breakthrough Celtic goal as he attracts an admiring glance from Arne Engels who set up up the strike with an inviting corner-kick.

Coincidentally, Celtic are now scheduled to lock horns with Dundee United in the east end of Glasgow on Wednesday evening and Jim Goodwin’s side are the only Scottish team against whom the rampant Hoops have been forced to fire blanks.

The visitors were involved in a scoreless stalemate at Tannadice last month in an unusual shot-shy performance.

Trusty will be looking to double his goal tally in midweek!

The champions made no mistake as they got back on track against the Paisley club and their display of chance-taking is certainly worth a second look, courtesy of those good folk at Celtic TV Unique Angle.

Please enjoy!
