WATCH AGAIN: CELTIC AT THE DOUBLE

0

CELTIC were 6-0 ahead and coasting after an hour of Dundee’s previous visit to Parkhead on February 28 this year,

However, it was an entirely different story last night when the two teams met at the same venue with precious Premiership points at stake.

Eight months ago under the lights in the east end of Glasgow, the champions were four goals in front after half-an-hour with Cameron Carter-Vickers, Adam Idah, Matt O’Riley and Daizen Maeda on target.

As the game ticked towards half-time, Greg Taylor and Callum McGregor added two more.

JOHNSTON’S JOY…the Celtic defender races away in joy after netting the opening goal.

ENGELS’ EXPERTISE…£11million man Arne Engels sizes up the situation before netting No.2.

In the 63rd minute, teenager Daniel Kelly volleyed a spectacular seventh and the visitors’ moment of consolation came six minutes from the end of a one-sided affair when Michael Mellon left Joe Hart helpless with a superb drive high into the net.

Apart from one diving save to his right in the first minute, Kasper Schmeichel could have watched the action this time around from the stand.

The hosts dominated, but it took until the 60th minute for Alistair Johnston to notch the breakthrough goal and, shortly afterwards, Arne Engels rolled in the second via the penalty spot.

A different script from the one faithfully followed by both teams in February, but, thankfully, the outcome was the same – three points for Brendan Rodgers’ men.

The goals on this occasion are certainly worth a second look, courtesy of those good people at Celtic TV Unique Angle.
