THE clock was ticking down on any remote hopes Celtic had of winning their fourteenth title in 15 years.
The encounter at Dens Park was nudging towards the 82nd minute and it looked as though the Tayside hoodoo was about the strike the champions for a fourth time in a bizarre crusade.
The Hoops had lost twice at Tannadice and had also flopped against Steven Pressley’s side in October, Brendan Rodgers’ second last Premiership game in charge of the team.

NUMBER ONE…Yang Hyun-jun just beats team-mate Benjamin Nygren to prod the ball home for the eighth-minute opener at Dens Park.
With yesterday’s meeting locked in a 1-1 stalemate, it appeared the champions were about to surrender a mindboggling ELEVENTH point in the Tayside title graveyard.
Chances had been made and squandered with the ineffective Tomas Cvancara the main culprit with some woeful finishing.
A second-half penalty-kick from Simon Murray had nullified Yang Hyun-jun’s early opener for the visitors.
And, with eight minutes of regulation time to go, it looked a familiar story for the Parkhead men.
Following some possession play on the right, the ball was switched to Marcelo Saracchi, who had just replaced Kieran Tierney six minutes earlier, and the impressive on-loan Boca Juniors defender whipped in a first-time left-foot cross to the near post.

NUMBER TWO…Kelechi Iheanacho fires in the unstoppable points-clincher.
With the instincts of a genuine penalty-box predator, Kelechi Iheanacho pounced before lashing a ferocious six-yard drive past the helpless Jon McCracken.
Seven minutes were added on, but there was no way Martin O’Neill’s determined side were about to allow the local jinx to rob the team of any more points.
The goals are well worth watching again, courtesy of those good folk on Celtic TV Unique Angle.
