CELTIC were only a handful of minutes away from dropping their eighth Premiership point from a possible nine as a frustrating afternoon against Aberdeen at Parkhead edged towards a disappointing conclusion.
The champions had laid siege on Dimitar Mitov’s goal and the Bulgarian keeper faced a second-half bombardment, but, remarkably, the encounter was deadlocked at 1-1 after Benjamin Nygren had opened the scoring in the first-half.
The Hoops had already struck the woodwork three times before the Dons broke away and levelled in the 74th minute.

CHEERLEADER…Wilfried Nancy thanks Kieran Tierney after the defender had netted Celtic’s second goal in the 3-1 win over Aberdeen at Parkhead yesterday.
And that’s the way it remained until the 88th minute when Colby Donovan delivered an inviting cross from the right that was missed by Shin Yamada and Daizen Maeda smack in front of goal.
Thankfully, Kieran Tierny was following up at the back post and he thumped a close-range header into the net.
Relief reverberated around the stadium.
And there were even more celebrations two minutes into stoppage-time when James Forrest whipped in a low drive after some good work by Nygren and skipper Callum McGregor.
The victory means the Hoops are just six points adrift of Hearts with a game in hand.
Wilfried Nancy’s first win at the fifth attempt is certainly worth a second look – courtesy those good folk at Celtic TV Unique Angle.
