CELTIC brought down the curtain at Parkhead in 2024 with back-to-back wins over Motherwell and St Johnstone.

And the champions have kept the winning sequence going in Paradise in 2025 with consecutive victories over St Mirren and Dundee United.

Brendan Rodgers watched his team rack up two successive 4-0 triumphs over the Fir Park club and the Perth outfit.

Kyogo Furuhashi (2), Nicolas Kuhn (2), Daizen Maeda (2), Arne Engels and Reo Hatate shared the eight goals.

Kuhn netted the first goal of the New Year in the east end of Glasgow when he netted against the Paisley men and followed up with another to boost his striking rate to a fabulous 16 in this campaign.

NET GAIN…Reo Hatate looks back in triumph after claiming Celtic’s second goal against Dundee United.

USA international centre-back Auston Trusty, a £6million recruit from Sheffield United on deadline day, powered in a header for his first goal for the Hoops.

Kuhn missed out against the Tannadice visitors last night, but Japanese double-act Maeda and Hatate stepped up once again highlight their penalty-box prowess with the efforts that downed Jim Goodwin’s battlers and pushed Rodgers’ side to a 16-point advantage at the top of the league.
