CELTIC swept past the 100-goal mark for the season when they thrashed Dundee 6-0 in a lopsided Premiership confrontation at Parkhead last night.
It was another hurdle to be met and overcome as the champions remain on course for a fourth successive title, a remarkable 13 points ahead with the same amount of games to be played.
Tayside keeper Trevor Carson, who was a target for Brendan Rodgers first time-around and was at Motherwell at the time, must be sick of the sight of the green and white hoops!
ELEVEN AND HELL…Trevor Carson gets that familiar sinking feeling as he sees a Celtic goal hit the back of his Dundee net.
The former Northern Ireland international netminder has now conceded 11 of the 73 goals the champions have piled up on their inevitable course to their thirteenth crown in 14 years.
Carson picked the ball out of his net twice at the same venue as the hosts won 2-0 in October and he had to do likewise three times during the dramatic 3-3 draw at Dens Park last month.
However, there was no chance Rodgers’ side would drop another two points on the most recent occasion and Arne Engels (2), Daizen Maeda (2), Adam Idah and Nicolas Kuhn put Carson and Co to the sword during another pulverising procession as they took their goal haul to a mighty 105.
The highly entertaining performance is worth a second look – courtesy of those good folk at Celtic TV Unique Angle.
