WATCH AGAIN: FOUR-MIDABLE CELTS

0

CELTIC romped to their most convincing Premiership result of the season with their 4-0 triumph over Falkirk at Parkhead last night.

The four-goal winning margin was their biggest and, ironically, the champions also fired four behind former Hoops keeper Scott Bain in the 4-1 Premier Sports League Cup win at the same venue in August.

The emphatic victory coincided with the return of Martin O’Neill to the dug-out, albeit in an interim capacity, following the shock resignation of Brendan Rodgers on Monday.

The former boss was swift to accept the challenge and, along with Shaun Maloney, he enjoyed his evening back on the touchline under the lights in the east end of Glasgow.

Johnny Kenny, with only one goal previously this season, netted a first-half double to get the show on the road. Benjamin Nygren claimed the third when he snapped onto a rebound after Bain could only push out a low drive by the impressive Marcelo Saracchi.

And twinkled-toed Tunisian Sebastian Tounekti raced onto an astute through pass from Luke McCowan to fire in No.4 to send the fans home happy.

Now O’Neill and Co are hoping to maintain the feelgood factor when they take on Ibrox opposition in the League Cup semi-final at Hampden on Sunday.

Before that, though, last night’s four-goal performance again the Bairns is worth a second look – courtesy of those good folk of Celtic TV Unique Angle.
