WATCH AGAIN: THE DAIZEN AND KT SHOW

CELTIC skipped over the first hurdle in the vital five-game run-in as they bid for a fifth successive title.

Falkirk were stubborn opponents at Parkhead yesterday, but the champions eventually prevailed with a 3-1 triumph courtesy of a double from the phenomenal Daizen Maeda and a single from returning hero Kieran Tierney.

Remarkably, the strikes only take the Japanese raider into double figures after last season’s outstanding tally of 33 when he stepped up to be counted after the £10million sale of his countryman Kyogo Furuhashi to Rennes in January 2025.

KNEESY DOES IT…Daizen Maeda celebrates his second and Celtic’s third goal in the crucial win over Falkirk.

THE JOY OF SIX…Kieran Tierney celebrates his sixth goal of the season with the second against John McGlynn’s team.

He may have struggled in this campaign, but he came up with all the answers on this occasion to make certain the Hoops were well set up for the trip to Easter Road to face Hibs a week today and the three matches after that against Rangers and Hearts in the east end of Glasgow and Motherwell at Fir Park.

Tierney’s strike was his sixth of the campaign.

The goals are well worth a second look, courtesy of those good folk at Celtic TV Unique Angle.
