CELTIC made no mistake as they attempted to make up ground on Premiership pacesetters Hearts with their 2-0 victory over a vastly-improved Falkirk side at Parkhead yesterday.
The champions went into the encounter nine points adrift after the Edinburgh club’s 3-0 win over nine-man Dundee United at Tannadice the previous evening.
There was no room for error against John McGlynn’s team who had thrashed Hibs 4-1 the previous weekend to emphasise their top six pedigree.

Kasper Schmeichel was called upon to make a brilliant diving save to repel a netbound header from Barney Stewart in the early stages before Martin O’Neill’s men settled into a pattern of play.
Tomas Cvancara claimed his first goal for the club since his loan arrival from Borussia Mönchengladbach the previous week.
It was stalemated at 0-0 with six minute to go until the interval when the Czech Republic international hitman flicked a superb header past Scott Bain following an excellent left-wing cross from Kieran Tierney.
Benjamin Nygren made certain with the killer second to hoist his goal tally to 15 in his debut campaign for the Hoops.
