‘WE CAN BEAT CELTIC AND WIN SCOTTISH CUP,’ PLEDGES BROTHER PEDRO

‘BROTHER’ PEDRO CAIXINHA has promised to derail Celtic’s bid for a silverware clean sweep this season.
The new Sevco Rangers boss, who was appointed on Saturday, is adamant he can lead the Ibrox club to a Scottish Cup win and runners-up spot in the Premiership.
The Portuguese manager has signed a three-year deal at the Govan outfit after being appointed as Mark Warburton’s successor.
Warburton was resigned by Dave King apparently without the reigning Scottish Manager of the Year’s knowledge. King will no doubt be noting that our Brother has promised to do what Warburton couldn’t do last season and win the Scottish Cup to give the comedy club it’s first ever major title.
If he fails he could find himself resigned too.
The club are currently eight points behind Aberdeen in second place, despite their 1-1 draw with champions Celtic yesterday with the new boss watching the action from the Parkhead stand.
The Hoops, of course, will provide the opposition when the clubs meet again in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden on Sunday, April 23.
Caixinha, taking to newco’s  website, said: “Our goals need to be focused all the time on trophies. We are in the Cup semi-final, so we need to think about winning that trophy.”We need to think also about getting as close as possible to the second position. Why not? We are now eight points below.”I have a positive approach, but we need to be real at the same time and we need to construct everything on a daily basis.

“We need to prepare in a solid way and in order to achieve whatever you want, you need to be ambitious.

“You need to be realistic at the same time. I think we are being totally ambitious and realistic by saying we would like second position and get the Scottish Cup.”
