‘WE CAN TAKE THE HEAT,’ SINCLAIR

0

SCOTT SINCLAIR is relishing the thought of playing in the scorching heat of Armenia when Celtic embark on their Champions League adventure on Tuesday.

The left-sided attacker, who has scored 43 goals in his two seasons at the Hoops following his £4.5million move from Aston Villa, admitted Brendan Rodgers’ men must hit the ground running against Alashkert.

With four rounds of matches before the group stage, Sinclair, who will be facing soaring temperatures of around 40 degrees in two days’ time, scored in his final game of the Austrian tour against BW Linz with the gauge nudging over 30.

He said: “We’re getting used to this heat, but it’s going to be tough. I’ve only felt that before beside the pool in Dubai!

“I’ve scored a lot of big goals in the Champions League qualifiers and enjoy these games. As a player, these are the matches you want to play in.

“I’m excited and looking forward to the season.”
