‘WE MUST TAKE CELTIC SERIOUSLY,’ JESUS

MANCHESTER CITY winger Jesus Navas has warned Celtic they face a torrid time in their final Champions League confrontation at the Etihad tomorrow night.
The Spaniard is convinced Pep Guardiola’s unpredictable team will take out their title frustrations on the Hoops after the 3-1 weekend defeat at home against Chelsea.
In a bad-tempered encounter, Argentinian striker Sergio Aguero and Brazilian team-mate Fernandinho were red carded as Antonio Conte’s men surged to the top of the Premier League.
Navas, who played in the 3-3 draw at Parkhead in September, said: “This team has a winning attitude and we will just have to keep going and I am sure the results will come.

“We now play Celtic in the Champions League on Tuesday and it is a serious one. We know that we have to take Celtic very seriously.

“It was a very disappointing result at the weekend against Chelsea.

“We created plenty of chances and I am sure the goals will come and we have been a little unlucky.

“We tried very hard to get the win and get the second goal, but we did not get it and they did.

“The team really wanted to win and we were eager for the three points against Chelsea, but we did not get them.

“We have to move forward and put the Chelsea result behind us.”
