‘WE SHOWED THEM WHO’S BOSS,’ BROONY

SKIPPER Scott Brown boasted Celtic showed their mastery in the 1-0 win over Sevco Rangers at Parkhead this afternoon.

It took a 62nd-minute strike from Olivier Ntcham to separate the teams – but the Hoops onfield leader reckoned Brendan Rodgers’ men had once again emphasised their dominance in the Glasgow derby.

The Irishman has been in charge of 12 of these fixtures and been triumphant in 10 while drawing the other two.

Brown said: “Performance-wise, it was exceptional. From start to finish we dictated. They came to Celtic Park and we pretty much showed them who’s boss for 90 minutes.

“It’s all about possession and keeping the team spirit going. It’s about kicking on from there onwards.

“They didn’t want to press us too high up the park as they had a hard game midweek, so they were all a bit leggy.

“We showed our quality again today and we had a hard game as well midweek – but we pulled through.

“We have a great team spirit and we showed that again on the park. We celebrate together, we work together and when we lose, we lose together – that’s what a good team does.”

Matchwinner Ntcham added: “I’m very happy for the team and for myself, also. We won the game and that’s the most important thing. It was a hard 90 minutes.”
