BMCW I agree, my grandfather is 91, and his views are to the most the complete opposite of mine, but there is no way he will change, not for me or for PC, and I love him for that, he wouldn’t be him if not. We are not gonna change people if that is their view, all that will happen is it will make their views more concrete. Tell you what, I’ll just leave you all to it.
You know, I just posted a few (actual) facts about Ireland (even though I am an Irish republican and part Irish), because I was wanting some of the Scotland haters on here to know how it feels for your country to be slaughtered routinely every day.
It seems it is acceptable here to give it ‘rotten to the core’, ‘only in scotland’, etc constantly, and expect fairly mild patriots like myself to just sit and take it.
It seems acceptable on here to spread the myth that if Scotland was to turn independent, no catholic will be safe from rampaging protestant mobs.
It seems that I’m a hun or in the KKK for pointing out that maybe Ireland or anywhere else for that matter is not as tolerant as people think – and maybe Scotland is on the whole a very tolerant country.
I remember standing in jungle in the 80s listening to people chanting SSRUC etc and thinking, ‘why aren’t they supporting the team instead?” I still don’t understand. It just belittles the whole republican movement and Celtic. But it’s easy to chant about hunger strikers in a big crowd rather than actually do some political leg work for a real political party isn’t it? Just lazy republicanism whilst dragging Celtic down.
Hun?? Ha! You know the rhetoric here is the EXACT SAME as that used on FF and Rangers Media at times, except with the words Catholic and Protestant interchanged. Everyone’s out to get us……it’s a catholic/protestant conspiracy…..blah blah blah.

I agree with you about Scotland, on here at times it’s as if everything about Scotland is wrong, utter garbage, yes we have problems but to make out every other country is utopia is just narrowmindedness. I’ve met the same problems in other countries I’ve worked in, it’s the same all over.
