CELTIC’S Danish defender Erik Sviatchenko has thrown down the gauntlet to the rest of Scottish football.
The centre-half dovetailed superbly with Jozo Simunovic in the Hoops’ 3-0 win over Aberdeen in the Betfred League Cup Final.
And Sviatchenko said defiantly: “We will do everything we can to be untouchables.
“I hope this is just the start for us.
“We have been on a great run over the last few months. With a trophy it is nice to be able to look at it and it shows that we have been doing so well.
“But we do not want to stop. It is such a good feeling to enjoy seeing our hard work paying off. We will do our best to keep improving now.
”We have a plan that is way out there in terms of what we want to achieve. But that doesn’t mean that sometimes you shouldn’t stop and enjoy the moment.
“It is all about some champagne and a little bit of happiness. It is important that we get to look at what we have achieved.
“That doesn’t mean we aren’t pushing on, it is just about taking a breather. We will take a breather, we will enjoy the celebrations and then we will get back down to business in the league.
“But it is important that we stop and reflect on what we have managed to achieve already.”
