‘WE WILL FACE DIFFERENT CELTIC,’ SAYS BAYERN SKIPPER

BAYERN MUNICH skipper Mats Hummels is anticipating seeing another side of Celtic when the teams meet at Parkhead tomorrow night.

The German giants are in confident mood after going back to the top of the Bundesliga with a 2-0 win over RB Leipzig. at the weekend.

Jupp Heynckes’ team are also on a high following their 3-0 victory over the Hoops at the Allianz Arena just under a fortnight ago.

However, Hummels revealed he is preparing to face a far more aggressive Celtic in Glasgow.

He said: “We do expect to face a different Celtic to the one we faced in Munich.

“As a defender, I especially expect a different team attacking-wise.

“We didn’t seen much attacking from them in Munich, but we have studied them and know domestically it is normal for them to score three or four goals a game.

“Of course, the Champions League is a step up, but it’s clear they have the players who are capable of scoring goals.

“We know their atmosphere is famous, so famous it now wins awards, but for us that is not important.

“These Bayern players have played in Champions League Finals, in World Cup Finals, in enough big games to not let the atmosphere have any impact on us.

“We are there to win the game and that’s it, not to enjoy the atmosphere.

“The hunger and desire at Bayern is the same it has always been and that is to win title.

“The Champions League is one of the most important and that is an objective for us. If we can beat Celtic, we put ourselves in a great position.”
