‘WE’LL PROVE OUR WORTH,’ BROWN

SKIPPER Scott Brown is confident Celtic won’t slip up in their Champions League qualifier against Qarabag in Baku tonight.
The Hoops, of course, have a one-goal advantage and the dynamic midfielder believes they can get the sort of result that will take them into the final qualifying round.
Brown, 30, said: “The Champions League is huge for this club, it’s where we belong. We have been there in the past and we are going to do it again.“We are a big club and need to make sure we produce results now. It would be a big step for us if we could win this game.

“It would be great if we could score early. That would be lovely, but we defend well as a team and we can keep a clean sheet and score.

“You have to trust in your defence, midfield and strike force and let everyone do their job.

“Overall, we are as good as anyone in this competition and this is where we need to show it.”
